Just out of interest, are two identical tellys calibrated the same out of the box or are there variances between each unit?
All different, but you will find if a model pushes lots of blue they all will, just different degrees of it, some more than others.

Just a heads up that the 55B6 dropped by £200 to £1799 on Amazon yesterday and they're still offering the free SH7 soundbar until midnight tonight unlike anywhere else I could find. I bit the bullet and ordered one last night.

The 65 has the same deal (free SH7 sound bar), and is up on Amazon for £2799.

Looks like I was lucky to get the 55B6 including soundbar for £1699 during richer sounds flash sale. Maybe they'll be due another soon?

Just checked Very and they're £1999 with soundbar so gone back up again it would seem, John Lewis are £1799 as are a couple of others like Richer Sounds but without the SH7

What is the difference between the 55B6 and the 55E6, is it just the 3D capability?
We do occasionally enjoy watching a 3D movie but cant justify that feature alone costing an extra £400!
Any reason the 55E6 wont be reduced similar to the B6 in the near future?

E6 has been advertised at around the £1650 mark, but seem to be a few clearance type stores.

The E6 has a better processor and motion is better than the B6, a few who couldn't get on with the judder on the B6 swapped for the E6 and said it sorted it, but the rest is pretty much the same picture wise and many won't notice the judder anyway.

Either a 1080p OLED or if you have to have 4k and HDR and £1200 is a max budget, the Sony 55XD9305.

The thing is, now the gap between an LCD and OLED is only £400 it does seem a shame not to pay a bit more, when it was £1000 gap fair enough, but £400? Surely that is worth it so you don't get that "ooh, what if.....?" feeling?

Buy the LG 55B6 OLED from Very.co.uk, pay of £1200 tomorrow and pay the over £400 over the next 12 months.

I bought a 55XD9305 and have been really pleased with it.

At the time the £550 difference in price to the LG 55B6 was significant enough to me and whilst the LG's blacks are incredible, the Sony is better in several areas in my opinion. Both are great TVs with their own strengths and weaknesses.

I've been playing Battlefield 1 on my shiny new Xbox One S this evening and it looks utterly brilliant!

If you have a costco local to you, consider the Panasonic TX58dx902b which is £1200 but limited stocks.

Thanks guys, few things to consider - I do love that LG I saw one in currys and it looked amazing so I might have to top the budget up for it. Girlfriend has a costco card so I'll check in there, too.

Costco generally are a great price...& 5 year warranty too (I know RS offer 6).
Just spotted 3 Toshibas in their latest email blast - 65U6663DB for £900.....quite tempting to 'go large', but can't see ANY reviews of this model....
55" is £480....good price too....

I've just taken delivery of a B6 OLED and am, quite frankly, blown away. The picture is out of this world and I would say if you can afford OLED over LED it's a no brainier, even if that means means dropping a screen size.
