I have a 2010 Sony BDP-S370 which Sony decided to stop supporting some years ago. So no useful SMART functionality - Youtube support gone, no Netflix, no Spotify, Amazon vidoe doesn't work etc. DNLA works for only a limited number of codecs but I just re-encode files via Handbrake, so no big deal. The picture looks superb though and it even plays my SACDs, as well as True-HD, Dolby DTS-HD etc.

I've been thinking of replacing it with either a 7200 or 6700. Whilst the 7200 appears a superior machine (can play high-res audio for example), the 6700 is newer and therefore I imagine has better SMATRT app support? I have no need for 4k uspcaling, wifi, bluetooth etc. I'd really just want a like for like player as my s370 but with current app support.

Amazon is probably the only App I'd really like as I don't think that I can download and stream content via my PC, without using a Firestick or similar?

So would you go for the older but 7200 or the newer 6700 (or something else)?
