New tv/blu ray/soundbar
Discussion
Hey guys, I'm at a bit of a loose end and a bit confused.
Iv bought a new TV, Iv been looking at soundbars and blu ray players. The TV I have got is a 65" Hisense http://m.richersounds.com/#!/product/hise-65k5510
I was looking at this bluray player

And this soundbar

Would this be a good combination??
Does the soundbar have the required connections for virgin tv and the bluray etc.

Looks to me like that soundbar does not have HDMI ports, so is meant to be connected to the TV via Optical, rather than to the Virgin box, BluRay or whatever as a pass-through to the TV. That will be fine as long as your TV has optical out(!) and can bitstream out of it. Connecting the source via HDMI through the soundbar does give the soundbar a higher quality signal, but the optical should be fine as long as your TV isn't playing about with it.
