New TV, wait for Black Friday / Cyber Monday?
Discussion
Generally it is always better to wait, but I am not sure if the manufacturers are going to try to jack up the base price of the TVs like Apple have just done.
I was going to wait until Black Friday, but Richer Sounds came in with an offer on the exact set up I wanted (55KS7000, K8500 UHD player and three UHD discs for just over £1,200), so I jumped in now.

I went for the same TV also (55KS7000) as price has just dropped by £200. Desperately wanted new LG OLED but cost was just too high.I was going to wait until Black Friday, but Richer Sounds came in with an offer on the exact set up I wanted (55KS7000, K8500 UHD player and three UHD discs for just over £1,200), so I jumped in now.

Indeed. I keep seeing 'next time' for OLED based on the price difference, but I genuinely think they will be affordable within a couple of years. Also, I don't think that the motion on the ones I have seen is that good, so hopefully that will improve over the next few generations.Samsung only allow a few retailers to stock their 7/8/9 series sets (Currys, JLP, RS and some higher end independents).
When I was shopping for a new TV this time last year there were no extra offers on the higher sets for Black Friday. Plenty of offers on 6000 series and below, but nothing on 7/8/9.
Also, I watched prices for a few months, and all 3 big retailers were (suspiciously!) pretty much at the same price all the time on higher end sets... different promotion mechanics, but very minor differences in price (<£50 on a £1,500 set).

i waited for cyber Monday a couple of years ago, a company like richer sounds (can't remember the name) offered 10% more off everything no matter if it was in a sale or not. Picked up a nice amp and surround speakers for a bargain. so can be worth the wait.
Also recently started using top cash back, they usually knock a percentage off on most websites.
