Hiding AV 'stuff'

Bulldog, THANK YOU... that's the benefit of the hive mind since I simply hadn't thought of that. Very good plan which will also eliminate 2 data cables to the power line adaptor. I do need to get a new power bar though but that makes a lot of sense.
XBox can go flat against the wall behind the TV (it'll always be out at an angle for viewing anyway)
Oakey, I was way ahead of you, that vent came out weeks ago but I was very disappointed to find that it's well-filled boxing for a soil pipe so I can't do much with it! May get away with running a cable neatly around the corner inside it though.

I like Pistonheads for that purpose too. I suggested it because I have also done it. I have one cable coming out from my TV at the bottom of the rack. Also, braided cable sheathing looks cool and is good for keeping stuff neat.XBox can go flat against the wall behind the TV (it'll always be out at an angle for viewing anyway)
Right, all sorted. Thanks very much for the tips.
Doesn't look much different from the front angle...
Buttt.... I've now got all of the power and ancillary cables, XBox and indeed a space for wired powerline network adapter (arriving tomorrow) tucked behind.
Time for a beer. The only fly in the ointment is that my Xbox has apparently stopped working

Looks much better!
How do you find the Arcam soundbar, I'm looking to pickup one along with the matching sub?
It's fantastic. You can currently pick it up for £299 delivered from Nintronics, same again for the sub.How do you find the Arcam soundbar, I'm looking to pickup one along with the matching sub?
I currently don't have a sub to go with it as I've run out of money for fun stuff but am strongly considering it. Sound quality even without the sub is excellent, really clear and good tone, I'm hoping the sub will make it 100%....
It's a nice neat solution, this has plenty of power for music throughout my whole downstairs without wires or faff!

I've been eyeing it up on their site for a while but have had to spend money on other things. Using some Adam active monitors and an Adam sub (my old pc speakers) currently and the sound is of course well above that of the tv speakers.I currently don't have a sub to go with it as I've run out of money for fun stuff but am strongly considering it. Thanks for the review on it, I'll probably get the bar and sub next month, then I can finish off the cable tidying like you have.
The wireless sub looks like quite the powerhouse compared to most these soundbar type subs, more like a BK Electronics sub with a decent driver and proper internal amp.
Enjoy

Like that a lot, floating cupboard really works well.
Thanks. This setup is a god send for cleaning and keeping things neat and integrated. The router is connected up tothe TV, Apple TV, Blu Ray player and Virgin Media box inside and the door can be kept shut as I can control everything
with my phone and tablet. Only downside is that I can't keep the PS4 inside as it would heat up so this is kept separately
in the games room rigged up to the gaming monitor.

Your setup looks very nice, kudos. Regards heating up, you could install a couple of fans on the far left hand side which would keep that particular aperture cooled and be out of sight?the TV, Apple TV, Blu Ray player and Virgin Media box inside and the door can be kept shut as I can control everything

Right, another arrival today. Solo sub
I could never justify the full RRP of this, another £500 on the cost of the soundbar, however I was wavering over Nintronics' offer of £299 delivered. Then I saw 2 subs from an outlet place. Open box... brand new. £240 delivered. Happy days.
So, it turns up and it's HUGE. Far bigger than expected.

But after some furniture butchery...
Man cave serenity restored, but with 300w of bass!
