Any suggestions?
I want to match with a Samsung 7500. I have a Pioneer BT 290 at the moment which falls from time to time between rear and fronts.

I've been advised not to touch Samsung, but perhaps go with Yamaha, Denon or Onkyo. ,

What are you after - an AV receiver? What's your budget?

Xtz cinema series with denon x7200 would be a good system. As you haven't stated a budget it's impossible to know whether that's more or less than you're prepared to spend.

Hi, I'm not a hi if fanatic, just want a really good 'cinema' sound. Budget not the driver here, bit somewhere sub 1k! Sound reasonable?
But speakers are wall hung in an Orangery, so good acoustics, but don't want large tower speakers either front or rear

You probably won't be able to recycle your existing all in one unit speakers, so either look for a new all in one and bin the existing, or buy something like the Denon above and gradually buy the speakers you need as budget allows. You can run 2.0 to start with if you have to (go easy on the bass though).

You will also need an active subwoofer since you won't be able to use the passive one from your existing all in one unit.

'Best' is very widely open to interpretation though; I guess that best for under £1k is what you mean as like most hobbies you can easily spend waaaay more if you get a taste for it...

Have a look at places like Richer Sounds for speaker packages. Sometimes they do an amp and speaker package, including an active sub (though I'd typically recommend looking elsewhere for the sub, such as BK Electronics).

That's quite a bit of money for some fairly old (but no doubt good in its day) gear. I expect the OP at least wants something that is HDCP 2.2 compatible so it can handle 4K going forwards.

For about £1k

Yamaha RX-A660 £550 ( I like Yamaha AV electronics, had several of them. This has 4k capability also.

Monitor Audio MASS 5.1 £550

Good shout. I'm planning to get that amp next.

Running MA Radius speakers off it (obviously the latter are out of the price range for this requirement)

Yamaha looks a nice piece of kit.
I would need a Blue Ray player,, and small high spec wall mounted speakers. Any suggestions on that?
The Yamaha seems to be around £690. Sound right?
