I've a ZP90 but am interested (read desperate) to improve on it as Sonos has many failings and appears to only be getting worse. How easy was it to integrate the MS200? Does it work without other Meridian gear?.
The MS200 was attached via ethernet, Roon saw it as a device (plugged in via coax to dac).
But Roon doesn't have support from Soundcloud or Spotify, and it is $120 a year, but amazing to use.

I don't really know what to do to be honest.
The Chromecast Audio is actually OK sound wise, better than Sonos Connect, but no gapless playback and I listen to dance mixes and classical 90% of the time so no good for me. frown

I bought one of these off them on Saturday, apparently they bought up the last of KEF's stock at a discount. I haven't heard, but I know and trust them that if it doesn't cut the grade they'd not sell it.
Cracking units.

Good to hear. NHFC aren't known for selling rubbish, so I fully trusted it shall cut the grade.

Edit, just noticed I didn't link, so it looks like I actually bought the model you have - DOH!!!

Actually bought one of these...... https://www.nottinghamhifi.co.uk/kef-q400b-subwoof...

I presumed you meant you had bought a Kef sub. That's what I meant when I said cracking units.
I always found them really musical and sound much bigger than they are.

Always liked KEF stuff. NHFC had a £10,000 pair in for a reduced £5000 which were rather lovely, but for now I'll need to stick to the search for a pair of old Q15's for the summerhouse, at about 1% of the cost....

LOL, lovely thing, I've love to own that.

However I guess I'd need to have all of the rest of the kit to do it justice... and if I could afford that then I'd probably just get a more modern processor, it's only money right? hehe

That is what I swapped my DP192 for when I wasn't blown away with it, and still didn't think it was a patch on the meridian. It was good, but not as good as the Meridian at £5500.

That was the 568 which later became the G68, they have one here...

https://www.hifix.co.uk/meridian-g68adv-surround-c...

Can get you one of those for around £800, and it is on another level.

But.....and it is a big but, I still think for most people something like one of the Arcams like I just bought for £350 are a better buy.
Dolby HD, DTS Master audio, 5 x hdmi switching with video processor built in, DAB tuner, internet radio, pre outs out or bi-amped fronts and use the other amps for centre and rear duties or a combo of power amp and internal amps.
That was a 5 star £1800 amp that has only just been replaced and is good with music, which is where the Tag lost out, superbly dynamic and sharp with films, with music...hmmm?

I'll let you know in due course, it's been suggested by the dealer that alongside 2x8000m's for music it should work well.

It depends what sort of sound you like, some people actually pay money for Naim gear.

I joined the Sonos forum to ask if there was anything like an 'audiophile connect' on the roadmap and turns out they added Volume Normalisation a couple of firmwares back which would explain why some of the tracks I know that are dynamic now sound flat.
There's a couple of companies who will replace various components in a sonos connect which apparently has a huge impact on sound quality. You could look into that maybe. And then let me know. I am currently running a connect into a brand new fm-a29 but was considering a streaming DAC as an additional source for higher quality but if one could improve the connect's DAC instead..........

Yeah, would be worth doing. However, I am going to wait and see who goes with MQA, from what I have heard so far it is superb, so will hold out to see who does what.
Also, need to make sure Sonos fix the Volume Normalisation issue they have on their products currently. The connect (not the early zp90) with normalise the volume which is not great, especially if you like classical where on track is quite and the next loud etc, they all sound the same.

Recently put together my home cinema, using Triad Silver in-walls (they do an on-wall or in-room version as well though), and then a REL 212SE sub (4x12).

Sounds outstanding!

A question to any in the know. Considering two KEF centres, a Reference 200c (not Q200C) and an XQ50C.

Anyone any thoughts on either, which is better, and which may be a good sonical match for my set up?
