Think you've that the wrong way round, the room is made to fit the TV!
The irony in this! This morning I cancelled my TXL purchase (TXL37G20) as I woke in the night thinking I'd chosen the wrong TV.
I'd watched a txp42g20 plasma in Comet two days ago and was very, very impressed. So I went and looked at the local dealer yesterday and pounced on a 37G20 (and compared it with other 37" LCD's too).
But something just didn't feel right. I'd not been blown away by this 37g20 compared to the 42g20 i watched the other day. It was at 3am this morning I realised I'd not been watching (+ subsequently buying) a TXP37G20 but a TXL37G20.
The reason I've chosen Panasonic is for their plasma expertise, not their (generic?) LCD expertise.
Panasonic don't do Plasma 37 inchers in the specification I want (the G.) They do do an 37X20 but it's not as good as the 42G by any stretch of the imagination.
The irony is that we're going to get rid of the mantle piece and put the tv on the wall rather than in the recess area (that basically will only take a 37") where the current CRT sits!
So yes, the room should fit the tv and not the other way around!
Buying a TXP42G20 tomorrow most probably. Just to say that my priority is picture quality and I just feel that the plasma was streets ahead compared to other LCD's I've watched.
