Sky anytime plus. Worth upgrade?
Discussion
I have the old sky+ box so it does not work and I need to upgrade. I notice that sky does a new (black) box that will allow it.
Questions
How does it download all the extra required series? How many series can I choose?
Do I need a network/phone connection?
Does it cost any more money? I dont have films/sport so would it be pointless to purchase?
Is there anyway I could blag a free one from Sky?
Ta.

The black box is the sky hd box
Sky anytime + is free if you have the full sky package and also sky broadband - you then get the 'anytime +' functionality for free.
Well that's my take on it anyway.....
I have the old sky+ box I think the new sky+ boxes are black same as the HD ones (HD does not interest me ATM). Sky anytime + is free if you have the full sky package and also sky broadband - you then get the 'anytime +' functionality for free.

So I also need Sky Broadband as well? Oh, I knew there would be a hook somewhere along the way.
I've got Sky anytime but don't know if it's '+' or not (unless they're all dubbed as this?). A phone line is needed as the downloads are done via the broadband. I've not downloaded a lot so don't know on limitations that may exist. There's some very good Sky news archives that can be watched - the missus is sick of seeing the planner filling with random news reports on random subjects from months / years ago.
