Temporarily living in a small flat, and need something as my only music source.
Currently have a logitech that I feel is wasting the music, so wanted something decent and compact.
Have been told many good things about the Zep, but its too big.
Tried the Zep mini at harrods with my iphone, and it sounded good. The Sounddock seemed better, but that was from a fitted music source. I couldnt dock my Iphone with it.
So, which sounds better and which should I get?
Over to you....

The Bose (like all of their products IMO) is overpriced. Not in the same class as the B&O.

The S5 is good ... probably a better option if you want to expand the system into other zones in future.

I am extremely happy with the bass and sound quality from my JBL Radial iPod Dock (and it's a good price).

Was in the store the other day and had the chance to try the B&W Zeppelin but wasn't that impressed to be fair.

I just bough one of these - you need a separate set of speakers but the sound is great.

Without doubt the Zeppelin will chuck out more more impressive levels of boom and tizz and sounds pretty good in the process but as above, the MC4 is way superior and looks just as cool IMHO.

For the same price you could buy a decent pair of loudspeakers for £300 and it would be a serious piece of hi-fi. I'm currently listening to mine connected to an old pair of Ruark Templars and it sounds great. For more normal listening I've got the MC4 connected to a pair of ProAc Studio 125's. Ok so a £1k pair of floorstanders is a bit unbalanced (I'm still deciding on what's going to replace my old Naim setup) but for now it doesn't sound particularly out of place.

Thanks.
I went with the mini zep in the end. I managed to find an open box one at John Lewis at a steal.
The MC4 is too big for what I need at the moment.
The only annoying thing is that the Zep will not work with my 5th gen Ipod video unless I dock it and use the line in

I spent ages trying out the different docks available and finally settled for the Harmon Kardon ( http://www.amazon.co.uk/Harman-Kardon-Performance-... )

For the price, in my opinion nothing beats it sound-wise. The sound quality on it is incredible for such a small unit, and in comparison to both the Bose and the B&W Mini Zep I though this beat both of them hands-down.

All down to personal taste of course, but worth a listen. (For some reason H/K have updated it and the latest one is seriously ugly and strange looking, but you can still get the normal shape from a few places, see Amazon link above).

EDIT: Ooops, didn't notice you'd got one already (obviously didn't read to the bottom of the thread)...oh well.

Thanks for the reply anyway.
I love the sound of the Mini Zep, but was still open to ideas. I kind of also needed something that didnt look to out of place in the mother in laws flat, so the mini zep it is.
