Panasonic G20?

Right guys, the price of the G20 has dropped like a stone to £600 or thereabouts, and I need a 50 inch TV.

What's the background on this, I've heard conflicting reports. When I went to see it in the shop next to a £500 Samsung, the pictures were 'different' but not as mind-blowingly great as the PH rep gets.

I'd like to get another Panasonic as the 2000 vintage 50 inch in the bedroom is still going strong and on SD is still the business.

But, brand aside, the LG 50 is now £439, and the Samsung had some nice features...

ive got the g20 its an awesome set and for the money i dont think it can be beat, although i got mine when it first came out and paid 1200 for it cringe lol...

I can raise you on that, I paid three times as much as that for my old Pana 50 inch, and that was second hand. The guy that bought it first paid £12,000....

For that it doesn't even have HDMI of course as it did not exist then, and it is even before 'HD Ready' and the number of pixels means that HD doesn't scale properly which is a real shame, because as a TV it is awesome.

50 inch G20 £650 .... from Dixins online, got one a few eeks ago,,,,, puts my old Tosh 40" LCD to shame.... ster my eyes adjusted to brightness levels, which now give people a more natural colour look..... now mattre what I tried with LCD Nigel Slatter always looked like an Alien...... v happy with G20 especially at knock down price, might be a bit miffed at full price.... but for £650 + knock old set out for £150(after being told worthless on here) feel I got myself a bargain
