hi Tommy, i thought it was to the right, the tuscan guy hadnt a clue, and then you came past and it was a "doh" looks like they Know where it is :-)
mind you i dont mind getting overtaken when ive stopped, at least you werent in a griff
Haha, it made me laugh cos I just latched on to the car infront as I saw he had a sat nav so assumed he knew where to go as he wasn't hanging around. Then we saw you two sat at the traffic lights even though it was on a greenmind you i dont mind getting overtaken when ive stopped, at least you werent in a griff
The amount of times i'd be driving along and see a load of tvr's appear from a completely different direction then go another way always made me laugh!

This is par for the course on tunnel runs, and all part of the fun.Great day out had by all, worth the 2.30am start and home again about 4pm. I know my car is not exactly subtle in the noise department, but it sounded like a hybrid in comparison to the silver T350t I followed for the first leg out of Westferry - GX54.
I was speaking to a passer-by near Embankment who said it was unusual enough to see one TVR let alone dozens buzzing about in all directions.
I also didn't realise that there was so much going on at Brooklands, that in itself is a full day out, but we had to bail after a quick look around bearing in mind I had a 3 hour drive home.
And Martin, your hat is in the post, will be with you before 1pm tomorrow

how can you stay on one side of the river on a thunder in the TUNNELS run, sooner or later you will have to arrive on the dark side, unless you only do the tunnels that dont go over the Thames. Shall we start a list
1: heathrow airport tunnels
2: cant think of any more,
No, no, no....Not during the run. The night before! Our hotel was on the wrong side of the river for the start and we couldnt get ourselves across. Was so fustrating seeing the dome within arms reach but being clueless of how to get to it. Next time we will just camp in the car park.1: heathrow airport tunnels

Looks can be deceptive! After the third run through Rotherhithe at fricking 20mph the sat nav took a back seat. The Tomtom must be female because it got all huffy with me when I thought I knew best. Even marking as "visited" the various waypoints it still wanted me to go back to Rotherhithe. WTF
Nevertheless a big thank you to Dave Mr Chips Howard for taking the time to organise this and what a master stoke to end up at such a cracking event at Brooklands
And not forgetting the weather. Next year summer holidays should be in October.

The irony of yesterday was that before the run my girlfriend would always moan how loud my car was but after bringing her along yesterday she even said to me I need to make mine louder!
My Chim sounded like a prius going through the rotherihite tunnel, although I don't think it helped that I was following chevy-stu!!
Stu your car looked and sounded the bks! The best bit was when we came out of the underground round a bout and you nailed it and a girl walking past had to cover her ears cos it was so loud.... She did not look amused!

It was a fantastic day out and huge thanks to all involved in organisng and heralding everyone together.
Brooklands was a great finishing point as well!
Did anyone get any good photos or videos of my car at all? Silver T350t...
Given that I was behind you for about 20 minutes, I think I have more of your car than anyone elses! I thought you had a big PH smiley on the rear corner?Brooklands was a great finishing point as well!

I also have some video clips of Limehouse an rotherhithe that I will get on to youtube in the next day or two.
Big and to Mr Chips for taking this on.... Not an easy task, I know from experience, and the Brooklands end was the icing on the cake.. !!!
And even bigger to all the TVR owners that showed and made it such a great event.
I hope I didn't spoilt the run with my brash yank noise... but I hope I helped a few people out of trouble that weren't sure where to go on the odd occasion, or were being lead astray by rogue satnavs...
It was s fun sight so, here's a quick phone vid whilst I was sitting waiting to leave Westferry - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Voqg3PdD-_w
Looking forward to more vids and pics..
Also, if anyone is interested in coming on more tunnel runs in London, please email me via my profile and get in touch...
