Thunder in the Tunnels 8 - Sunday 14th October 2012

Start - East London (probably O2/The Dome) at approx 6am
Finish - Brooklands / MercedesBenz World, Weybridge Surrey

We have reserved spaces to park up on the famous old banked circuit, which will make for some great photo opportunities, and anyone joining us at Brooklands will get the opportunity please the crowds with some old fashioned TVR noise with a run the famous "Test Hill".
There is potentially an opportunity to showcase some of our cars on the test track at MBWorld as part of the day's display event, however the organisers cannot guarantee this as it's meant to be reserved for competition cars. Hopefully the sight and sound of a decent selection of TVRs will sway them!  Entrance is currently £10, which is still cheap, but we're hoping our numbers may sway them on this.
Route, satnav files and exact meet point will be emailed out nearer the date.

After such a good morning out last year, please count me in as well. The last one was timed perfectly for the sun to rise over the thames as we went over london bridge.

If you need any help choosing one get yourself along to the regular Essex meet (see Essex & Kent forum) where there are usally at least 2 Chims, 2 Griffs and a couple of "T" cars in various guises.

All of us are happy to talk about our cars and could be persuaded to give you a passenger blat at quite a few leptons, purely for demo purposes you know whistlebiggrin

October or November is good for me too, really enjoyed the last one.

If possible, please set the date early on so that those of us who don't work 9-5 Mon-Fri can book time off for it.

Well volunteered Alex!
Contact 'Blues' or 'Chevy Stu' for routes! smile

October already has a tunnel run (for those in the 'know')
December may see salt on the roads so mid -September/late November may be the best dates!

Or how about a dawn raid on August bank holiday?

I would love to pax on this as I doubt I will have my TVR by then. Is there anyone in Herts/Beds/Bucks who would take me up on the offer of paid petrol/driver fuel for a seat in a TVR?

Thanks,
Steve

Hey Steve, been a while, mate! biggrin

I can mention it at the next meet as a few from the region usually go to this. Unfortunately, my brain doesn't function at that time in the morning and I positively _hate_ driving into London with a passion, so I give this one a miss myself.

Cheers!

Hoover.
