BNG 2012 8th & 9th September

Trickie, myself and my friend Phil (he'll be bringing an orange Chimeara that's got a few talking on another thread - marmite and all that! ) will be attending, having bought our dinner tickets through the tvrcc website.
However, my only question is, being northern monkeys of the highest order, we are not too sure of dinner etiquette! Is the dinner dance 'formal' in the sense of black tie James Bond penguin suit, or will jeans and a t-shirt suffice? Having never attended before, wouldn't want to be ejected before the first course!
Cheers,
Chris

thanks for this and no problem
Past dinners have been Black Tie but we wanted this to be more affordable and open to everyone
so it is smart casual for the Gents and as glamorous as they want for the Ladies.
It is a nice establishment and very good food that will be served
so would prefer not jeans and a T, but shirt and trousers is fine
Just looking forward to the excellent entertainment we have on offer as well
Hope that helps
Cheers

Hi Mark
The event is a TVRCC National event and as such not open to the "General Public"
However, as the TVRCC is "for anyone with an interest in TVRs"
then your friend can happily come along and have a look at the cars and attractions
There may be limited parking for Euro boxes etc but if he has a very nice camper
we might even let him in to park near us, and make us cups of tea!!!!
Just tell him he will be expected to at least buy some raffle tickets
as there are some very nice prizes and all monies raised by this event goes to
our 2 worthy Charities (not to the TVRCC or Sherburn)

We certainly have plenty of room for all TVRs - especially ones as nice as yours
You do know the Main Gathering and Concours event is only on the Sunday though?
Entry is free both days - but everyone is EXPECTED to at least buy some valuable raffle tickets
(with some great prizes) - as all monies raised is for our 2 very worthy Charities
Cheers

Really looking forward to this, in particular seeing the Speed 12 and having a blast down the runway in my Griff with my 7 year old TVR fanatical boy!
Is the Speed 12 going to do a few runs and if so, will they be spread throughout the day? I only ask because I probably won't be able to get there until around lunchtime and don't want to miss seeing it.
