Le Mans Classic

Dates have been released as the first weekend of July 2014, is any one going, I have a small group of about 5 assorted cars heading down just not sure where to camp now that Karting Nord is no longer.

Yup, I'm going with a small gang, 5 or 6 cars. Organised by a fellow Northants Tivver. Unfortunately I can't remember what he said about where we're camping & what company we're travelling with, mind you I couldn't care less, just looking forward to it as it's the first time I;ve done anything like this !

It is a great event, take the back roads down to Le Mans from the coast, there are some great routes, we do Dieppe to Le Mans and barely a dual carrige way used on the whole trip just nice empty rural lanes that you can make some progress down without danger.

We'll be hoping to camp in Beausejour because we like it there. Its a treck up to the main grandstands etc but a good campsite.

We are thinking of the Newhaven ti Dieppe crooning on the Wednesday night followed by a B road drive through the country side to arrive at Le Mans for 9 on Thursday morning, any one looking at that crossing?

We head out on the Tunnel as well we are booked on the 7.50 but could change this to the 7,20 if you don't mind having a 1969 V8 Tuscan joining the convoy.

Thanks Steve all changed we are booked with speed Chills in there private camping package first time for us but there deal seems very good food etc and they still have some places left.

The SWMBO will have to pay at the wall in groats, I am fine how ever after giving up 5 years to her majesty's finest navy, so i get a free pass now

wher is every one staying, is the concensus to book through TVRCC or just do your own thing?

Places with 1st Tickets seem to be getting booked up very quickly at the moment and really want a trackside campsite if possible.

We booked thought the club and opted for the private camp site at Bleu Nord, It is shared with pistonheads as well so should be good.

Planning on doing the Classic for my stag. Going to be 4 TVRs plus a couple of motor caravans + a few euroboxes. Anyone have any suggestions? Might get in touch with TVRCC next week.
