I need to sit down and a stiff drink, as SWMBO has just announced she'd like to come to this!
Be nice to meet the lovely Mrs 8eight, and the little 8eights too?
I am trying to get Erin Dawes to come with me both days, as with the house to see and a country food fair to visit, she shouldn't get too bored.
Mrs 8ight has said we can look after the little 8ights and she and Mrs QBee can go round Burghley house!

I might even get the micro-daughter and her troop to come too - make a proper family day of it......not all in the Chimaera of course!

A great day and TVR turnout (especially as the forecast wasn't brilliant sunshine and a sudden heatwave!!)

Thanks to Ken & his Crew for the excellent route and planning

See you all at Burghley (on the Sunday only for me)

Cheers

Trickie, are you doing a run down this year, like you did for Chatsworth last year?

Don't think so - most of my region say they don't want the long motorway journey - certainly not there and back in a day.

Shame as 35+ TVRs in convoy over Holme Moss and down through Glossop to Chatsworth used to be a great sight (and sound)

I am going down Sunday with my Pal, and staying over Sunday night, to then go on the Morgan Factory visit on Monday

Cheers
Trickie

Hi all
I hope to be making the trip up from Surrey on the Sunday, does anyone know the earliest arrival time to gain entry and park up?
Had a look at the Burghley website which says the House and Grounds open at 11.00am but wondered if it opened earlier when events are taking place!

You can get there earlier it's just the house and grounds as in the paying part that's open later.

Is there a "late arrival" possibility?

Could I turn up about Lunchtime for example?

Something originally planned for this weekend has now had to be moved to next Sunday, so earliest I could be there is about midday. Might be a "waste of time" to arrive so late?

Would be good to give the wedge a "shake down" run Before Normandy over Easter.

Thoughts?

Bought a Chim last weekend and just came across this event, i live 2 minutes from Burghley so couldn't have worked out better!

I am looking to improve the sound so if anyone has a Chimaera with modded exhaust and is going please let me know so i can find you for a listen! Thinking of joining the Rutland Rumble if that's ok? Anyone going on that with a Chim and a modded exhaust?

Heard good things about the Clive F y piece and pre-cats out......

BTW, add yourself onto the list on the Saturday drives thread you will find in TVR Events, and you will need to email Longers to get hold of the route details
