Ok, did a few checks, no one in an easy range that I would be happy using and no one seems to be expressing a great interest here in a RR event, so I'm bowing out.

Austec or Powers Performance (Dom) would probably be your best bet, but a bit far.

Someone wants to organise it, feel free.

Cheers.
I don't think there will be a lot of interest for a RR as a separate event at Burghley. If there was one onsite at Burghley I think it would generate a lot of interest but as David says perhaps not appropriate for the location.

I have spent many an hour trawling to find a RR in that location. There's nowt.

Burghley is a great location, well done V8 GRF, and a lot easier for the South East mob to get to. 90 miles north of London, straight up the A1. Its garden wall is alongside the A1. There are some good roads around for the run-outs too.

PS is your car ok now after last winter's mishap on the M42 snowdrifts?

...Great, its closer to Norfolk than Chatsworth, and so less wind chill for one or two hours as opposed to three with the top down first thing in the morning....Bella

Great news it beats Chavworth and the dull drive down...it's a far superior place with welcoming staff and better facilities.

Only problem for me is the proximity - Chatsworth was a good blat away - Burghley is only 20 minutes. If you're looking for roads in the area for the Saturday run let me know, there are loads around there (as well as some good pubs), particularly to the west.

If you need advice on where to go let me know. I'm a local. I would suggest one night in Stamford for the evening, as it's a different atmosphere e.g. better :P

Hopefully will have my car back by then - but I've booked a B&B for the sat/sunday night anyhow for the wife and I =) Looking forward to meeting everyone and appreciating their cars! =)

My first run out to Chatsworth was 2012 and it pi**ed down all the way there, glad the house was open as it was a cold very wet day.
Burghley looks a nice location plus less of a journey for me too.

So I have to get home to Bedford first, can you tell me what time does it start and finish?

They've been pretty free format in the past... People arriving from about 10am... Staying as long as you like... People starting to leave after lunchtime.... Can't see any reason why this wud be different :-)

I think we left 3PM last year at Chatsworth, there were still plenty around at that time. Stamford itself is worth a wander round, there is more to do given the location smile
