looking forward to this, just booked Saturday night at the Bull and Swan near Burghley House.
Hey Clive, see you there, I'm at the rather less salubrious 'Green Man' just the other side of the river, Friday and Saturday night. Just praying for a break in the clouds now. Will Braders be joining us again? He doesn't to be on PH much recently.
Cracking pub the green man, and there's a petrol station opposite. Your just a 2 minute walk into town from there.

Only recently heard about this event, is it open to all TVR owners or only those in TVRCC? My Dad an I both have Cerberas. I'd certainly love to be there can anyone fill me in on some more details please.

Burghley Horse Power - Burghley House

TVRCC season opener 13th April 2014 Burghley House.

We are pleased to announce the TVRCC annual season opener event for 2014 will be held at Burghley House near Stamford in Lincolnshire. This event replaces the usual opener held at Chatsworth House.

Despite engaging with Chatsworth early in 2013, they were unable to offer us any dates in April, May or early June due to Easter and other commitments. The July date offered clashed with several other mainstream events and obviously is too late to be the season opener the event has become.

Burghley House is situated just 5 minutes from the A1 this is a perfect location centrally situated for easy access. Burghley house offers something for all the family to enjoy. From the Elizabethan house, the contemporary sculpture garden and the garden of surprises , Burghley has so much to offer. Home of the famous Burghley Horse Trials, we are pleased to say that the only horse power in evidence on 13th April will be TVR although we will be sharing the event with a fine food market hosted in the stables courtyard so no TVR driver will go hungry on the day! There will be the Club shop and also a variety of TVR related trade stands for you to pick up those car goodies.

There will be a run out or two on Saturday 12th for those of you that enjoy the country drive out. Additionally Burghley are offering us a special club rate for entrance into the house of 2 for 1 with your club ticket receipt. This event will cost just £5.00 per car payable on the gate where you will receive your 2 for 1 voucher.

This stately home plays host to a number of car clubs so let’s show them that TVRCC have a true British spirit and we can prove to be the one they want to invite back.
Anyone wanna tell me how I can join in this fun please?

There will be 2 runs on Saturday...
  1. 14.00 The Rutland Rumble from The Royal Oak, Duddington near Stamford, staying to the West of the A1 in & around Rutland, returning to Duddington a couple of hours later. This one is being organised by a random bloke from Uppingham.... me biggrin
That sounds more sensible. Interesting to see what roads are picked. There are some little gems of back roads that are great for a blast with some great sights smile
As another Rutlander, I can vouch for this and am well up for the Saturday smile Longers - PM me as v close by you but have yet to see you hooning around the roads near us!

Are non TVR's allowed?

I ask because mine will be at the trimmers at the dates of this show, and we would have to drive up in a Mini!

The house is open to the public, and there is also a food fair going on, to keep the TVR wives and keen male chefs entertained (neatly avoids being sexist), so there has to be a public car park......at a guess.

Hi,

The Public Car Park is before you get to the TVR Car Park. It's a fair size, so plenty of parking smile

Baring in mind they host the Burghley Horse Trials where they have thousands of cars :P

We will most probably be there, then. My Tam will be away having its makeover, so we will have to drive to the first meet of this year in a damn Mini!

Be nice to meet the lovely Mrs 8eight, and the little 8eights too?
I am trying to get Erin Dawes to come with me both days, as with the house to see and a country food fair to visit, she shouldn't get too bored.
