Just opened my March Sprint yesterday. BHP gets a good write up. As do the Saturday drives.

When you read it you will see that there is a morning drive around South Lincs, starting at 12.00 at Colsterworth, which is a service area 18 miles north of Stamford on the A1. It breaks for a leisurely pub lunch about an hour in.

So my plan is to get to Colsterworth for 11.30 with my sarnies in the boot, enjoy the meet, the chat and the first hour, then cut across to the start of the afternoon meet to be there in plenty of time to eat my sarnies, enjoy the meet, the chat and the afternoon drive through Rutlandshire.

Best of both worlds for those of us who own a TVR to drive it..... driving

PS, I drive up and down that section of the A1 about six times a week on average, so will make it my job to check out the availability of Super-unleaded. There certainly is a Shell garage on the A1 close to Stamford on the northbound side, and i have a feeling that the big Peterborough Extra services at the A605 junction of the A1 is also Shell. I will have a scout around for others and post here
Can I join your noisy Chim with my noisy Cerb?

Sorry to butt in here, I've not had much chance to plan anything in this year as yet but I'm hoping to make it out for these Saturday runs! Does anyone know if there is a thread for the morning karting event? Or is it through the TVRCC only? Fanks.

Hi everyone

Thanks for the great response. With other people who have contacted me outside of the forum we have 35 cars at the moment, although I expect more will join on the day if the weather is good biggrin

Please remember to
1. drop me a message through my profile or email me if you haven't already so I can send you a map & GPS file for the route nearer the time, and
2. contact the Royal Oak (01780 444267) if you would like to have lunch before we head off at 2pm.

Cheers,
L'rs

I've not seen anything in PH about it but there's this topic in the club forum...

Seems so. I'm definitely up for some karting, if we can work out where it is we could gatecrash, or just find a decent track ourselves. Let me know what you think.

Best option looks like Ancaster Karting

1300m outdoor track, 270cc karts, open from 10am Saturday, 30 mins from Stamford.

Alternatively JM Kartsport

1070m outdoor circuit, twin 160cc engined karts, also 30 mins from Stamford, enquired about Arrive & Drive on Saturday morning, awaiting reply.

Route is ready.
Map & notes are ready.
Satnav file is ready.
All I need to do in the next couple of days is drive the route using the satnav file to make sure it works as it should then I'll send everything to those of you who have contacted me with your email addresses.

It will help me enormously if everyone arrives with at least the map on the day so if you haven't let me know your email address already please do so asap.

Cheers,
L'rs
