Sorry, I know I am an old fart, brought up on route instructions, maps and map-reading by my late father, who was an East Midlands Rally Champion Co-driver in the 1960s, but there is no substitute for the printed instructions. The ones we had were beautifully put together, thanks Paul, and were as clear as is possible for them to be. clap

The nav files are always a compromise, as said above. nono

To use printed instructions they either need to be read out by a passenger, or need to be printed large enough for old gits like me to be able to read at a glance while driving whistle.
To judge by the responses to the column "passenger seat available?" we nearly all had passengers.

The one thing that would have been really useful would have been a colour map I could have printed, with the route marked on it.
The Google maps thingy that Paul provided was excellent, and I spent a good couple of hours on the Friday evening studying and memorising it, and this did get us around most problems combined with 30 years knowledge of driving central London, but I would have loved to have been able to print the Googlemap out in glorious colour in A3, exactly so that when something was closed by roadworks or whatever I could quickly study it and work out how to get around the obstruction and back on route.

So instructions/a lesson please Paul on printing Googlemaps.....'cos I couldn't work it out the Friday before. coffee

All ideas currently noted and I'll add to the to-do list for "TITT Navigation 101 - From Analogue to Digital & Back Again!"

Please post up any more suggestions or areas that people would like a bit more help with and I'll try and include in the coursework smile

Regards

Paul

I had no tickets either which was a surprise as I know I blew at least one red light watching the nav and the road.

Less chance of everyone getting lost due to road works and hope I wouldn't need to borrow your nav again qbee.

Karl, you've not missed it - personal life is kinda full on at the moment.

TiTTs 10 was 28 September 2013, 9 was 12 May 2013, TiTTs 8 was either Oct or Nov - problem was it was frostbite territory until about 9 am

TiTT 8 was mid-Oct as it was a couple of days before my daughter was due to be born, remember having a conversation with DonkeyApple about it!

September is nice though, more chance of "Indian Summer" weather.
