Hi I am have a contact at Dunsfold as they are coming to Beaulieu to sell tockets for wings and wheels also they are allowing us to use the Car covered in toy cars too and supplying the Top Gear Tickets for my Raffle Prize. I was't planning to... But from what I see on the list a Sunday in June looks most popular,and the event on 22nd you posted and Shelly commented on looks good to me.

As ukdj has kindly stepped forward for the running of it I feel it has nothing to do with what I think anymore.

If ukdj with jamienshelly help if possible,think it can be arranged and favorable for the 22nd June and want to confirm this date we can close this thread and I will open a new chart in the events stating the official date.

I thought we may have more numbers than this so maybe others are just waiting for a confirmed date first before they add their name. But not everyone that comes are on PH and get the news via other methods so many more will take part than what's on the list.

Patience people it's all under control (hopefully)

I caught up with Jamie & Shelly the other night and we're working on a few things between us, as soon as we get confirmations on these we'll be able to set the date based on this and general consensus.

We intend to provide maps in both electronic (sat nav/google maps etc) & written formats including visual landmark checks to help identify where you are.

We intend to have a few people spread amongst the pack who KNOW the route, with a large identifier on their vehicle so anyone who is unsure of where they are going can follow them around.

I am running the 1st test of the route over the weekend and after some fine tuning and checking for road/tunnel closures will factor this in with other events happening and try to come up with the final date/route.

Watch this space . . .

Awesome thank you Jas! A 98 Cerbera, either month would be good though I can't do weekend of June 8th as doing a midnight 100k cycle round London.

PS ukdj I think you should take note of that day June 8th

Not a good day for any of us with a load of cyclists knocking around...

However midnight should't bother us,guess it depends if it starts midnight Sat?

TiTT 8 clashed with a cycle run near Battersea Park, IIRC.....TiTT 9 had a fun run in the vacinity of Canary Wharf too, bloody cones in Westferry Circus.
Very tricky to avoid, not sure which websites you have to look at. Clearly catching the end of a big enough event could mean road closures.

Its a midnight start saturday night/sunday morning and people finish till about 10am. Think last time I finished somewhere around 7am. There will be over 4000 bikes around London that night.

I emailed Shelly the routes and .itn files from TiTT8 last night (kindly supplied by MrChips).

Mr Chips did a lot of work and got caught out by Transport For London.
Instructions IIRC were only on TomTom waypoints. That was all I had.

Started at the O2, headed to the Blackball Tunnel at 0630 only to find it shut until 0700. And the next three left turns after the tunnel were all shut by roadworks. Within 15 minutes we had 80 TVRs approaching every junction from every conceivable direction all at the same time.

We eventually mostly got to Westferry Circus by following each other. My young passenger managed to skip the waypoints we couldn't pass due to closures, but it only worked for us because he flicked through the waypoints list reading them out, and I used 30 years of driving in London to get to us to that rendezvous.

After that it was good fun, but I am sure I missed a chunk of route somewhere.
So the written alternative, or a map with the route marked on, is good for when things go wrong or incompetence (or driving it alone) sets in.

Have you still got the routes for 9&10?
