That is so neat Olly - not only a new chassis, but a GoPro QuadCopter to play with in the meantime!

Newly rebuilt rear dampers knocking like the diff is falling out and yesterday evening just discovered my headlight fell out!

Just Sikaflexed it in so I'm not sure how long to let it flex.

Thought it was till got it up on axle stands today to change the oil and give it a quick once over, I thought I had a noisy wheel bearing but when I looked today it turns out I've got a F**cked rear wheel bearing, loads of play in it so now its off the road and I might as well sort a few other bits while I'm at itmad

It's more a case of 'am I ready', came out of plaster on Wednesday following ankle surgery, can drive ok, but walking is tricky, even with crutches but got the car running today, gave it a clean, so it's got to be worth a try. driving

Car went well on today's Rutland Rumble but has developed an alarming rattle from somewhere in the front suspension. Let's hope I can find it first thing.

Engine oil/oil filter- gearbox oil and diff oil changed 2 weeks ago, car is still on axle stands. Boot/roof and bonnet clayed and polished, the rest will have to wait. See you all tomorrow.

Couldn't see anything wrong, so went anyway - lovely event.
Got home, took all the wheels off the car, still nothing obviously loose. Baffled. Only thing I found was what I took to be my screen-washer motor not connected to any pipes.....and no sign of the pipes.

Car going in to my TVR guy soon to have a few bits done......he can have the joy of finding my rattle. And my screen washer pipes. hehe

I saw that go over my car about 2pm, thought it looked pretty cool smile
Are you going to post a link to the footage?

And I also need to know where to get one from...

If I can't get one in the UK I am in the States for work in September so I will get one then

www.buildyourowndrone.co.uk

Don't worry, despite the name of the website there's very little you need to actually 'build'

What you saw flying today was a DJI Phantom V1.1.1 with a goodluckbuy gimbal (from eBay) and a GoPro Hero3 Black camera and is the quickest way to get up and running.

But please, if you're going to buy one be sensible, know the rules and get public liability insurance (£40 membership to the British Model Flying Assoc. gets you up to £5m cover).

If you wan any more info please feel free to PM me.

As for the shots, some are now loaded on the Burghley Pics thread. The video will follow but I've lost sound on my PC (driver update fail!) so editing is going to have to wait.

The gusty conditions made for some jerky footage unfortunately, but I should be able to cut something together. The stability is down to the flight control system. It uses GPS to know where it is so the onboard computer is constantly adjusting. Unlike an RC plane/heli if I take my hands off the controls it just maintains its position. Also, if it looses signal it has a function to return to it's point of take off, all by its self. It really is very clever stuff.

..good idea, gave it a wave today...

...You may have already done it, but the club may need you to have some form of insurance on that in future, just in case it gets some problem and lands on the concours winner of the day....if you get my drift.
