My old school (John Warner in Hoddesdon) are having a fund raising day on September 27th to raise money for their engineering extra curricular activities, one of which being their very popular students robot building club.

They are hoping to get some cars together to add to the attractions on the day so I was hoping some of you guys might be free and fancy a trip down to show off some of Blackpools finest, and maybe even inspire another generation of TVR owners biggrin

It is running from 10:30am - 4pm and as it is not a TVR only event if you know anyone with any other interesting cars it would be great to bring them too.

I hope a few of you can make it smile

A bit more information on what is there during the day:

- Rocket demonstrations from the UK Rocketry Society
- 'Have a go' engineering activities
- Bloodhound – Land Speed Record Presentation
- Robotics demonstrations
- 3D Printing

There will also be catering there on the day which will all be raising money for the school engineering department.

I think you have your 10 now, but I may be able to get down in the NSX, if:
1) it starts after a few weeks away on holiday (will know this week)
2) the OH hasn't already booked us for something on Saturday( will know tonight).

But let me know if you're already 'full'.

There is space for 20, and the NSX would be fantastic if you can make it smile

Good news: Her Indoors had not booked anything else; and the car started first thing this morning (after a couple of months of sitting around)

Bad news: some poor b*gg*r had better wash it today...

It will be good to attend and see what's going to encourage kids into engineering. One of my customer's kids won an Arkwright Scholarship using one of my projects (something rather old-fashioned, miles away from high-tech robotics though).

Any special instructions on turning up? Seems to be just the one entrance.

Parking will be inside the school gates on the right hand side, but apparently there will be someone on the gate to show us where. I think we are aiming to arrive at about 11am.

See you all tomorrow smile
