TVRCC - Pre 80's Extravaganza
Discussion
Just a reminder that the Pre-80s event is next Sunday, 7 September. This event seems to have gone below the radar on TVR Club forums, so here are the details:
It is a National event being held at the Trolleybus Museum, Sandtoft, between Doncaster and Shorpe. The address is Belton Road, Sandtoft, DN8 5SX. Further info on the venue is here: http://www.sandtoft.org.uk/index.html
The gates will be open from 09:00 for us to gather and park our cars, the public will be 'let in' from 11:00.
There are special areas set aside for TVR parking, including post 80s cars as well. Entry is £5 per car.
There will be trolleybuses running on the day and also a model engineering exhibition. Providing the weather holds up it should be a great day, with many of the older Tivs on show.
There are four trophies to be won: Concours de'elegance, Best modified car, Most original car and Best restored car. Martin Lilley will be there as well as others from the club and TVR's past. The event is open to all TVR's, although the trophies can only be won by pre 80's cars.

It may be worth checking with the club office. I would suspect as joe public, but if you arrive before the "public opening" time then on the production of a Club membership card you might be able to "blag" it?
It is a TVR car club, not owners club, but we would have to blah our way in ...interesting.If I'm allowed a day pass out on Sunday, I'll just turn up with a TVR badge on my zimmer frame and with my TVR skateboard tucked under my arm.
Both should qualify me for a concessionary entrance ticket.
I must also remember to bring my membership card, pensioner's card & bus pass, just to be on the safe side.
I don't think you're allowed in if you come in a Porsche though.
