Its only 5 years until TLF introduce the 24/7 Ultra Low Emission zone in central London that will include Puddle Dock, London Bridge Station underpasses, Piccadilly Underpass, Waterloo Underpass, Trafalgar Sq, Parliament Sq and the regular bridges. No Tivs will pass so it'll be £12.50 for the privilege after that.

Afraid so, new ULEZ is 24/7. Stupid thing about this is no diesel cars or vans currently on the road or being produced right now would pass the new limits and neither would my 2001 320 3 series.

I know, this is gonna cause no end of ball ache to everyone. They even released figures showing main culprits were diesels - mostly taxis, buses, vans and trucks.. with private owned petrol vehicles being very low (only 3%) on the polluting list in London, but still went ahead with it anyway... . There will be a classics exclusion based on the new (from last year) rolling road tax 40 year rule, but otherwise it's not looking god without paying every time..

Gets worse...

The East/West cycle superhighway that's just begun construction along the Embankment to Tower Hill, seems to indicate Castle Baynard/Puddle Dock is converted to cyclists only/deliveries.

This is correct - very shortly the puddledock road will become a 2 way cycle lane
I read somewhere (cant find the website now ) that its due to be redeveloped in July. Going through the area this morning there's roadworks at temple station and further up on lower Thames st so it cant be long before puddledock is closed to us for good
Probably only 4-6 weeks to get a tunnel run in that includes puddledock fir the last time frown

Think it's too late already. Weekend closures of Castle Baynard and Puddledock started last weekend according to City of London website.

anyone interested in doing this around a bigger event like spa for example - suggestions welcomed?

ok so the plan goes like this ....

TITT doable on a day trip, and for those that are interested overnighter followed by something like spa

I've already got a few possibilities, need to confirm a few details before making anything solid, ideas of who's interested below please, no commitment required just an idea to work out logistics etc, dates places all to be confirmed ...
