I'd agree with that Grover it's a very valid point so we need to look at showing what's coming up to potential members.
The issue we have with opening that area up at the moment is the various 'member only' codes are often posted there, but I agree we do need to look letting prospective members see what's coming up.
Hi mate - I did point this out to your guys a while back when I had a meeting at the TVR stand re my potential involvement with Sprint. The issue we have with opening that area up at the moment is the various 'member only' codes are often posted there, but I agree we do need to look letting prospective members see what's coming up.
There needs to be a None members limited access link for just such issues/items.

I think most long term TVR owners know what amazing events the TVRCC hold every year so you can pretty much guarantee a fantastic year, a list of events is ideally aimed at new TVR owners who have never heard of the club and enjoying their new purchase, but unfortunatley alot of present TVR owners do not agree with TVRCC fundametals and how the club is organised and are quick to air their views on this forum which is fine as its an open free forum for everyone to use. But when it actual comes to putting words into practice and try to help change the car club into something they think is better, well alot are heard but never seen.
Mark
I take your point but I did actually offer to get involved and help.Mark

Hi I live in Woburn Sands only a couple of miles from Milbrook there are some good b n b's in the area, The Old Stables guest house, The Fir Tree pub and The station for example also have a look at Woburn but a bit more expensive.
There's plenty in the area as they have to cater for the Wildlife Park.

Oh dear, not this old chestnut again. It gets trotted out every time anyone has the temerity to even mildly criticise anything about the TVRCC. I would have thought that members have every right to offer criticism, but apparently not. It's this put up or shut up attitude that is unhelpful, not the criticism. All IMHO of course.Mark

I'll just point out you HAVE to be a full Member of the TVRCC to attend the whole event. The first day is part of a public event so anyone can attend, but there is a TVRCC twist in the evening. The second day at Millbrook however is private and to attend that you will have to be a member of the TVRCC to obtain access.
No exceptions.
Do you mean pay the £50 or be in the know ?No exceptions.

It's worth noting that you may not be insured for Milbrook.I'm with Mannings and have track day cover but they won't include Milbrook as it's not a trackday as such.
Same applies for Parade Laps at Le Mans Classic, etc. It's either extortionately expensive 3rd party insurance or you take the risk and cross your fingers. It would be useful if the TVRCC could have a chat to their insurance partners to explain the organisation of the event in the hope that we could get it covered, even if it is a one-off surcharge (e.g £30)

at least it usually gets listened to - usually
The car club can't please everyone we know that so open criticism and idea's is fantastic. They have their AGM every year so if anyone has any good ideas and wants to organise events l would say that's the place to go and offer your services.

I would agree with that...I'm with Mannings and assumed that they would have covered. Could the TVRCC see what they can do?
I have just called my insurer, Adrian Flux, and they have confirmed that as long as the event does not include any timed or competitive stages then my insurance will cover me for the day at Millbrook.Gassing Station | TVR Events & Meetings | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
