Went exceptionally smoothly, really impressed. Fantastic venue, once in a lifetime-type stuff really. It's got to pave the way for future events for the guys at Millbrook now, as if they all go that smoothly they've got nothing to worry about.

I think a big thank you to all attended Millbrook is in order as well. Obviously everyone listened to the safety briefing, took note and put their words into practice.

The chief Marshall was very impressed at how the majority behaved. In the whole day he only had to 'chat' to three drivers and only one of those was driving a TVR.

His comment was that on days such as these he has usually had to escort two drivers off the site by the end of the first hour!!

As the first Car Club ever allowed to hire the venue that is praise indeed and bodes well for the reputation of the club and drivers of the marque.

I think the TVR CC should be congratulated for a well organised and well delivered semicentennial celebration clap

To secure Millbrook in this fashion, and the time, preparation and organisation that went into ensuring a successful weekend should be recognised via thanks, as they are well deserved. I for one have gratitude and am genuinely appreciative that the CC can and do organise events like this for the members. Well done and keep up the good work.

A brilliant day. I only went yesterday but it was the best event I've done with the TVRCC and the perfect way to celebrate 50 years of the club. Well done and thank you to all the organisers and everyone else that came along with their cars and made it the event it was. Here's to the next 50 years of TVR fun beer

Thanks to all the organisers - the Millbrook day was AWESOME! I think my Cerbie was one of the cars that drove the longest distance to be there - up from Bordeaux in SW France. The memories of yesterday will stay with me for ages - and since I see so few TVR's in France they are wonderful memories to hold on to. Thanks to all TVRCC organisers. Regards, John.

This event was worth the Membership money on its own, everyone was well behaved on the track. As David has said a big thanks to the TVRCC committee members for organising this event, and we have still got Silverstone classic next weekend to look forward too, even if your not a park your car in a field TVR owner, and milbrook wasnt deemed as a "track day" the alpine and the bowl were experiences never to be forgotten.

Wot they sed ^^^^

I took the family down to Shuttleworth for the day and evening - a great venue and the static, moving and flying displays were a great specatator event. After a schlep back oop North that evening (including a closed A1.... grrrr), it was back down for Millbrook - and what a day that was!!!

Huge appreciation and thanks to the undoubted amount of behind the scenes work that it takes to make a large event like that run smoothly. Thanks to the TVRCC for organising the event, and to all the marshals and staff at Millbrook.

Millbrook was a great experience. At first, having the later breifing at 12:45, I wondered with 400 drivers whether I would even get a couple of runs arround the different areas, and that the Alpine Circuit would just be a slow traffic jam (like Derbyshire on Sundays, but minus the caravans...!). How wrong could I have been - a fantastic day, blessed by perfect weather. As the afternoon progressed it seemed to get quieter, although I think Millbrook has a unique way of "hiding" 100s of cars....!!!

The high speed bowl was a unique experience, great fun practicing some (smokey) standing starts (managed to see over 120mph by the 1/4 mile (speedo so probably more like a true 110mph?), and then multiple laps of the Alpine circuit was great fun. i knocked it on the head at about 5pm before I started to get over-confident... the armco and blind crests don't look too forgiving...!!!

Other highlights? Getting to speak with Les Edgar - an interesting and seemingly genuine guy, and who had the patience to have what wsa undoubtably the umpteenth repeated similar conversation he's had all day!!! I think TVR would seem now to be a great pair of hands, and a credible team. It was also good to be there chatting to him at the point that Martin Lilley was introduced to him - a great meeting of "TVR old & TVR new".

Special mention has to go to the passenger ride in Paul Black's very special Sagaris. It was great to meet both man and car, after reading about the special silver and black car in Sprint etc. Thanks Paul - I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. That thing is just bl..dy brutal!!!! Savage acceleration, seemingly endless pull in 3rd gear right round the separate handling circuit, and great display of car control.

All in a superb weekend. Well done to all involved in the organisation.

can we do it again next year?????
;-)

I took a few photos of the weekend. Not very professional but thought I'd put a link up in case there are any of your cars you'd like to download. Cheers.
