Hi folks

After discussions with the hotel and input from a few folks, the following menu has
been agreed on (a set menu).

  • Starter - Minestrone soup (or veg option)
  • Main - Roast Turkey (or veg option)
  • Dessert - Brownie & ice cream
If anyone has any major issues, please let me know ASAP, so that alternative
arrangements can be made.

Thanks!

Hi Alex,

I live locally to the hotel but unfortunately have other commitments on Friday and Saturday evening. I would love to join the convoy down to Topcats on Saturday in my newly acquired Cerbera if that is OK?

Thanks,

Mark

Sure. We will be leaving the hotel for about 0945 - something like that.

Here is the schedule for Friday and Saturday...

Friday

  • Arrival 1600-1900
  • If enough people are around, we can go for a run-out. The hotel has some recommended routes, so I'll see if there are any that look good or we just wing it
  • BBQ - 1930
Saturday

  • Breakfast - whenever
  • Leave for TC about 0945, aiming to arrive about 1045 or so
  • Afternoon - At TC or up to you
  • Dinner - 1930+
  • Auction + Dance after dinner
Sunday

I did ask for ideas for this, but no one responded, so I will re-ask on Saturday. I suspect people may just want to go
home, but we can see at the time.

Was great to meet so many of you guys today. I hope you guys enjoyed the drive back and tonight's fun?

After seeing all your cars just reminds me how great TVRs were/are and the group of drivers they bring fantastic. Alex massive thanks and well done for organising another fab meet and also a massive thanks to Topcats for allowing me and others to just join at you place. Charlotte and Warren hosting manner was superb as your events always are and great to meet with exhibitors.

Without wanting to rub any faces in it. Massive thanks to all that voted on the sound off and Argento (my Cerbs name) and I were thrilled to win and claim the fantastic prize. Much appreciated! Looking forward to the next get together

Alex - thanks again for organising a great weekend. We just got back this morning as we stayed over last night.

The weather was kind to us, the hotel was nice and there was a nice mix of people and cars there.

I'll sort out my pictures later but here's a crap sounding version of the sound off.

Great video and what a lovely Sag!

Happy she ran home nicely too. Who won the concourse event? Some very nice examples on show!if all car owners and groups were like the TVR family the roads and world would be a better place!

wink

Hi guys, just wanted to say a massive thank you to Alex for putting on a great weekend, and to everyone that attended for being so welcoming at my first TVR event! smile

I had a great time and can't wait for the next one - unfortunately I'm away on business next weekend so I can't make it to Chatsworth.

Having crashed and burned spectacularly in my first ever sound-off (nil points!), I promise to try harder next time. The Tuscan is going to str8six for an engine rebuild in November - as I'm sure I told everyone who would listen over the course of the weekend - which begs the question: to decat, or not to decat... rolleyes

Glad everyone enjoyed themselves!

Photos will be put up in the next few weeks. I've gotta sort out a disk issue & go on holiday first biggrin

Thanks everyone who came - a real collection of great folks!

As mentioned, I'll look into doing a similar event next year building on the experiences of this one
and seeing what can be improved.

And a massive thanks to all the folks as Topcats!

My snappets from the weekend.

Dear Santa I've been a good boy this year.

Do you need too much power in your Sag; we can sort that for you sir.

Discretely hidden

Not quite my thing

Nice Lambo hidden at the back

My own and Ians' providing a nice entrance to the hotel.

On the Sunday we took a trip out to the Adventure Overland show so I could ask the other half if I could purchase this or that (I fancy an overland truck) whilst I waited on the response which was normally 'no'.

I parked along side the Silk Road trucks line up and I seemed to blend in.

I really like this.

Although this peaked my interest.

Ok, finally getting around to the charity contributions.

The total raised was £335.

I will forgo the event costs, costs for getting some of the charity items etc. and just contribute everything to Sporting Bears.

I was intending to do this anyway this year and see how best to spread the costs next year.

Thanks to Craig for the SB contact. I will get hold of them to see how best to get the contribution to them.

Thanks!
