Friday 1st to Sunday 3rd July 2016

WEEKEND FORMAT
Friday - meet and greet from about 11:00.
Pub lunch (12 - whatever time we can get away with at Chequers - turn left as you exit the hotel and its 50m on the right)
Evening - curry run into Stratford (to be booked in advance - see below)
Saturday - rolling road, traders, tyre kicking, noise competitions, runs out, technical talks - tbc, general chit chat and tomfoolery. More to be added.
Evening - finger buffet at Chequers which is 100m away from the hotel (to be booked in advance - see below).
Sunday - recovery day, traders, rolling road, tyre kicking, goodbyes, wrap up around 15:00.
HOTEL BOOKING
Rates have now been agreed with the hotel are £81 per room per night, double/twin B&B and £71 per room per night, single B&B for stays of 2 nights. For stays of 1 night the rate is £10 more per night per room for both single and joint occupancy
We have 10 rooms for Saturday booking only and 20 rooms for 2 night stays. If we can fill the 30 rooms they will allocate more which may give us options for a joint event but I can’t commit at the minute to this
Rooms will be released to the general public on the 20th May 2016 after which rooms will only be available at standard internet rates.
To book please call 01789 740000 and ask for reservations, quoting "Griff Growl". Please ensure you get a booking reference. You are only RESERVING a room and not having to pay until check out so book early – you have been told. DO NOT book via the hotel web site or other booking web site as you will not get the special rates quoted above.
If anyone has to cancel please can you let me know as I can probably get the room reallocated. Any problems please let me know and I'll sort them.
CURRY - FRIDAY NIGHT
I will be booking Chutneys in Stratford-upon-Avon as the curry is top notch. The cost will be £20 per head which includes any starter, any main, nan or rice and a return coach journey. Drinks are extra i'm afraid. We'll contact you nearer the time to pre-order the first drink to speed up the serving. Places are limited so please book early as this is extremely popular as anyone who has previously attended will tell you.
Coach will depart the hotel at 19:00 prompt and will return about 22:30 back to Ettington. Payment in advance to secure your place(s) as we have to pay the coach up front. To book please contact Paul Bennett (FFG) at paul.bennett@cevalogistics.com
FOOD - SATURDAY NIGHT
The White Horse is being sold as a dwelling so no food or drink options there so I've negotiated a finger buffet menu with Chequers which is over the road from Ettington. First thought is "buffet" but its a selection of food which will be placed on tables for those that have booked. The finger buffer will consist of BBQ chicken wings, min fish and chips, sausage rolls, garlic bread , ham hock & cheddar croquettes and hot dogs with fried onions at a cost of £15 per head. Not sure how it will pan out but I've been assured there will be enough food, and its leisurely as it will be served at table which could be outside, weather permitting. Served at 7pm so plenty of socialising time afterwards, but bar closes at 11pm and kicking out at 11.30pm so back to Ettington after that.
Booking is in advance via Paul Bennett and the cut off date for bookings is the 23rd of June as I have to confirm numbers for food ordering.
ROLLING ROAD
North London Dyno (ex Crazy Horses) will be running the rolling road again on Saturday and Sunday.
£40 a pop for the rolling road including printouts.
MERCHANDISE
We’re planning to reintroduce polo tops to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the modern Griff – more details to follow.
