Hi Folks

The date has been set for the Biggest Baddest Wedge event of the year...party...

This years Wedgefest will be held on the weekend of the 8th-10th July 2016..

We will be staying at Wroxall Abbey where we will have a whole court to ourselves and some of the mansion, Our own suite and more importantly our own bar...smile There is also the use of the Abbey's facilities ..

FRIDAY 8th July 2016
The weekend will start with a Friday night meal which is normally away from the hotel but not a million miles away, I haven't decided on this venue yet but will update when i have.

This is a chance to catch up with new and old friends and raise a glass to those who are absent.

SATURDAY 9th July 2016

After a shower and a hearty breakfast we will be heading off to Topcats racing who are kindly hosting the day...There will be a rolling road supplied by North London Dyno where the Wedge bhp shootout will take place...There will be a db challenge for loudest Wedge...Concourse & Rat Wedge...There will be an Auto-valet..Food and refreshments will be available most of the day, There may be some other prizes for Non-TVR's during the day...And also some other fun challenges weather permitting.

There may also be a wheel technician...Yes a wheel one and there may also be some traders attending but thats TBC...

Topcats have offered a FREE ramp inspection of your P&J and the race team will be there to answer any questions.

Entrance to the event is FREE and is open to all TVR's/Exotics or HP beast's...However there may be some small costs for some challenges but thats to recoup any outgoings and possibly help to raise a small amount of money for charity....Which will be added to what we raise on the night.

This event will be open from 11am until 4pm on Saturday 9th July 2016.

I would also like the group photo to be taken before we leave

SATURDAY NIGHT

After we return from Topcats we have a quick snifter at the bar and then its off to get freshened up for the Annual BBWF Dinner & Dance...

There will be either a BBQ outside if the weather is as it should be for the time of year but if its not so nice then we will be inside the suite where we will enjoy good food in good company.
After dinner we have the presentations for the achievements of the day and also the annual charity raffle & Auction to help raise money for the charity we have helped the last two years which is SMA.Support UK which helps to make the lives of children suffering from spinal muscular atrophy a little bit more bearable.

Im looking into some live entertainment for the Saturday night but more on that later....There will be much socialising, Laughing and dodgy dancing....

SUNDAY 10th July 2016
This has not been set in stone yet but it would be nice for us all to have either breakfast together or even go somewhere for some lunch before we say goodbye for another year....

I will update as necessary.

Rooms are available and the rates are:
Single rooms = £85 per night + Breakfast
Double rooms = £95 per night + Breakfast

You will need to contact me for booking details and a booking code to secure your place at the Big Bad Wedge Fest 2016.

Thank you

Hi to all.

It gives me great pleasure in announcing this exciting update.

BBWF 2016 is being kindly hosted by Topcats racing who have also been kind enough to co-sponsor our FREE event mugs, Footman James Insurance have agreed to also co-sponsor the event mugs.

Our guest of honour this year is the TVRCC's vice chairman Ralph Dodds who will be signing copies of his new and exciting book "Cars of the Peter Wheeler era" at Topcats racing, If you wish to be the proud owner of a signed copy then please email me as they will be on a deposit based order only.

Footman James will be offering a good discount to Club members which in balance would be worth joining the club for, They are also kindly sponsoring some of the more prestigious awards that they will present alongside Ralph.

Ralph has also agreed to judge the concourse & Rat Wedge competition at Topcats racing and will be joining us for the Saturday evenings annual Wedge dinner and dance and will be presenting some of the awards for us as well as joining in all the fun.

On the Saturday morning before the convoy sets off to Topcats racing there will be a very special TVR coming to join the already very special White Elephant for a once in a lifetime photo opportunity at the Abbey...

This will be the first time in TVR history that Peter Wheeler's White Elephant and "Vicky's S" which was the last S4 built at the factory with no expense spared seen on the road together at the same time.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with this car it was commissioned for Vicky as a token of Peters love for her, Unfortunately she apparently only drove it a couple of times as it was a bit too spicy and was then parked up at Bristol avenue for years, It was slowly robbed of parts and nearly got scrapped so this special car nearly didn't make the test of time but thankfully was rescued and lovingly restored back to the beautiful car it once was...And now is.

We are expecting "Vicky's S" to be arriving at the Abbey at around 09.30am before we set off to Topcats racing....We will also be joined by a few more "S" drivers...Cerbs..Griffs..Sags..Classics and hopefully some exotics.

I have also invited SMA UK to Topcats who are the charity we have been raising money for the last two years, I have asked them to bring a stand to help raise awareness of what they do and how we have helped them these last couple of years.

Each year we aim to raise a substantial amount to donate to a designated charity, If we can smash this year what we raised the last two then we could help two charities instead of just one, This may become a reality as we have over 100 cars coming already.

We have people coming from as far as Germany...Who i must add will be driving all the way...In a Wedge... And Wedge enthusiasts flying in from as far away as Florida....Now that is dedication.

We have Maggie Gotts who with husband Paul are BBWF/Wedge veterans hosting this years Raffle and charity auction, Based purely on the fantastic job she did last year...And Maggie will also be donating one of her amazing hand made soft toy creations for the charity auction.

There will be a couple of new and exciting elements to this years fest that will hopefully grow as the event does.

With 50 rooms now sold this years Wedgefest could be heading towards one of the biggest in its 12 year history so to avoid disappointment please contact me ASAP for you unique booking code and place at this years Biggest Baddest Wedge event of 2016.

John Clancy who is a professional classic car DVD maker and also our kind friend is coming to film some more parts of the BBWF DVD that will hopefully be on sale around late 2017.

For your place at this years Biggest Baddest Wedge Fest please contact me for booking information.

Thank you for supporting your BBWF.

Viva la Wedge...Viva la TVR.

Hi...

Just to let you all know that a few rooms have now become available so now there are more spaces at this years Big Bad Wedge Fest ...It is now only 6 weeks until the biggest baddest gathering of TVR Wedges not only in the UK but in the rest of the world, However i only have the rooms and SPA discounts for another 4 weeks and then will have to give them back to the hotel if unsold.

The weather forecast for the event is said to be a higher than average temperature on record which could be seeing temperatures in the 90 degree dept...So bring yourself...Your shades and suncream and come and have a wonderful time with like minded enthusiasts...

If you like TVR's..Classic cars...Racing..Appreciate the smell of burnt fuel, Burning rubber and burgers....(Hopefully its not the burgers smelling like burnt rubber) then come along to Topcats Racing on Saturday 9th July 2016.

This event is FREE entry and open to all members and non-members of the TVRCC.....We have supported SMA.support UK as our nominated charity for the last two years and will be helping them again this year, An SMA representative will be there to raise awareness of what they do and how we have helped them so far...All donations are kindly received.

Although this event is mainly focused on TVR Tasmin/Wedge ALL other TVR's are always welcome.

Thank you for your support.

See you there........cool
