Due to the high numbers expected it will be difficult to do a briefing on the day. So please check here and facebook in the next few days for some important information. Thanks.

1. START LOCATION.......Hassop Station Cafe DE451NW
The run starts at 10:30 and the cafe opens at 9am. If you want breakfast please arrive early. Try not to be in the cafe ordering a full English when everyone outside is leaving ( Glen........coffee )Due to the high numbers expected we may need to do a staggered start with 2 groups.

Maps will be given out on the day to everyone. Look out for the event Marshalls in orange high vis jackets. Alot of areas in this very large car park are Free, some of it is pay and display.
Thanks.

I am going to be heading up on the Friday due to the time its going to take, is anyone from the south (I'm Farnborough, Hampshire) going to be doing the same and want to make a bit of a convoy of it.

Otherwise all I will have is the sound of my girlfriend shouting over the exhaust trying to make conversation for nearly 4 hours!

M25/M1 on a Friday evening is an, errr, interesting choice.
3 hours 20 without heavy traffic - I would be going to bed early and setting off at 6/6.30am Saturday.
Look forward to seeing you whatever you decide!

PS you can get motorbike/rally intercomms to help with the conversation/noise.

2.MORNING RUN TO BUXTON.
Safety 1st everyone, the Peak District and our route has many blind bends. The stationary queue round the next blind bend could be a line of TVR,s. Be ready for the many cyclist, walkers, tractors, horse riders, sheep and tourists in the area.
Every junction needing a right or left decision will have TVR arrrows there ( except Buxton ) These arrows are quite small but please look out for them.
We only have 2 re-groups before we reach the lunch stop in Buxton. One is our usuall photo stop near Mam Tor at Castleton with the opportunity to get out. The other is a slow moving rolling re-group at Owler Bar ( check the map for Owler Bar.) Just follow the lead car around this very large oval area. ( we feel its important early on in the run that people are not seperated too much at the back, we appreciate how far you have travelled to be with this group on the day ) We do have a turn point at the Ladybower dams so dont worry if you see 50 or more TVR,s going past you the other way. Great for photos and videos.
Next stop is Pooles Cavern at Buxton.

3. POOLES CAVERN.
We will get split into smaller groups before arriving at Buxton, this will really help with the parking at the cavern. We wont all get in the cavern car park so you will be directed by the event Marshalls onto the safe wide residential roads near the cavern.
Important...if you want to go down the cavern ( and its highly recommended ) you must park and go straight into the gift shop and pay. The cavern tour is about 40 minutes. We have negotiated a discount, the cavern tour is £8.25 each and seniors are £7.00.
tell them you are with the TVR run. We have also been given free parking in the cavern car park.
They are also doing a buffet just for the TVR event in the school room near the gift shop. ( prices to follow )

I'll be coming up from Southampton (West Wellow), but leaving at 09:00. Aiming to meet you chaps at the Monsal Head Pub, or possibly Poole's Caves or Matlock Bath if we make good time. Going via the Cotswolds (meeting other (non-TVR) attendees at 10:30 in Blenheim Palace car park) before we hit the BORING motorway!

4. AFTERNOON RUN TO MONSAL.
We will try to leave the Pooles cavern area together. It will be a bit difficult to keep in one large group. Enjoy the lovely Peak District scenery and look out for the very twisty mini Alpine hill just after Crowdecote. We will not have our usual re-group just before Matlock Bath due to that re-group area being closed. But as you go through Matlock Bath still make some noise for the bikers.
I have had a request from some friends in the tourist town of Bakewell and the local paper who want to take photos. So hope you dont mind if we go into town and fill the town with TVR,s just before heading off to Monsal Head about 10 minutes from here. When you have gone round the town drive off in the direction towards Buxton on the A6 then follow the brown tourist signs for Monsal Head.
We have the large overspill car park at Monsal, dont miss the great views from the front of the pub, and the suberb Monsal beer.

Hi Kev,

I must apologies as it looks as though my father and I will not be with you and the TVR Clique on Sunday. Great shame as its one I really wanted to do and the Cerb on its last outing was truly awesome.

Please adjust your list accordingly and we wish you all a lovely and safe outing.

Catch up soon I hope.
