Brilliant, well organised, I understand how much work goes into runs like this. Good to meet so many enthusiastic owners.
Sorry we missed you Anthony, we asked a few people which was your car but obviously didn't ask the right ones! We must have been in the same line as you at the first re-group? Grey Chim/red roof. Anyway a great day and encouraging to see so many owners proving that rain doesn't stop play in a TVR. D.B. said:
Hi guys...
Never posted to pistonheads before! Some of you may have spotted a random guy taking pictures on the approach to Matlock Bath yesterday.
Just wanted to share a few of them with you

Thanks David, some really epic photo's there. That's very much appreciated and I can see some of those going onto the owners facebook pages.....Hope it was a good sight and sound as we passed byNever posted to pistonheads before! Thank you for the kind words! My apologies for confusing your 2500M with a Griffith, these TVRs all look the same
They did look and sound great! I'm something of a petrolhead myself, I currently drive a B5 Audi S4. Possibly the only car on earth to rival a TVRs reputation for unreliability!

TVR's are reliable. Honest.Just as much as any other car, Audis excepted (my A8 is 1000 electrical faults, all waiting to happen at the same time). They did look and sound great! [hobbyhorse mode on]It's the owners, not getting in, turning the key and driving the things, that are un-reliable. "Ooh, it's wet outside". "Ooh, they might have salted the roads in the last six months". "Ooh, I might put miles on it and reduce the re-sale value".
Its a car, FFS. Needs to be driven. If you leave your standard Eurobox undriven for long periods it will end up letting you down too.[/hobbyhorse mode off]

A video of some of the morning run to Buxton...you should all be on here at the turn point near the dams and the re-group near Castleton.
Many thanks to John Gaytor for this video

Thanks Kevin,
and to the marshals and all those that helped on the day that made the event work in such an organized fashion.
My first time in that part of the world and it won't be my last. Was quite happy at the slow pace in many stages so I could take in the lovely surroundings.
Great photo's coming through, and I also happen to be in the video for the last 2 1/2 mins , just as the rain starts

Was good to see you there Jason, hope you will be back to do it all again next year. Hopefully we should be back to our usual lunch time parking on the prom at the Pavillion Gardens next year. (huge Marquee there this year) It was a nice change to visit the Cavern and those that went down the cavern really enjoyed it.and to the marshals and all those that helped on the day that made the event work in such an organized fashion.

Hi Kev , just like to add my two pennuth and say how much I enjoyed the run on some "interesting " roads if the weather had been nicer I thought the people of Castleton seemed to enjoy the cars and noise especially the young children . Thanks also to the marshalls who did a grand job despite looking a little damp at times.I may be up your neck of the woods again later on this year so I will keep an eye on your events page. cheers Dave
