I picked my new car up on Saturday, bought from a specialist dealer. I have been after a decent example special edition for a while, and this one came up last week. It's one owner from new, full history, no mods. It's my second MX-5, I had a MK2 Nevada in 2014. Great car, I am in love!

Here's a sunset shot from last night.

Well I'm usually more of an occasional lurker...

However, the fact that you have a similar draw to baked and iced products as me, and we seem to have got the same car on the same weekend (although mine is a mk1), is enough to bring me out of hiding.

Nice car!

Brilliant biggrin

Here's to top down motoring and finely baked Victoria sponge cake.

Ahh, so it's a mk2.5 Sport rather than a mk2 Sport, which was a limited edition in either red or blue!
But very nice anyway.

Cheers daemon.

I'm struggling to find the exact specs of the car. Do you know if it has LSD, better brakes, suspension etc?

Yes, the Sport has the larger disc brakes.

I have the original brochures for the mk2.5 (dated May 2003), which I've dug out. In terms of other stuff, the following is what appeared on the 1.8i Sport as standard and not the other two specs:
  • cloth soft top
  • 16" alloys
  • front fog lamps
  • stainless steel scuff plates
  • rear mud flaps
  • chrome filler cap
  • LSD
  • suspension strut tower bar
  • leather heated seats
  • leather gear knob
  • two additional speakers
  • keyless entry system with boot release.
