Swapped to Talktalk BB but my Sky router still works?

As above, haven't changed to the TT router, will Sky still charge me or is it just a fluke my Sky router works with TT?

Neither Sky nor TalkTalk will know what router you're using at all so use the one that works best or buy one from Curry's. The routers that you get for free from ISP's normally aren't that great.

Thanks for your reply, I live in a flat and getting a signal is not a problem, are you saying that the speed of my wireless and wired internet will increase if I upgrade my router?

Possibly but then again maybe not, it depends on how far you are away from the telephone exchange, the quality of wiring into your house and the infrastructure in the local area.

Thanks, I usually get 6-10Mbps, wiring is new into the flat and the exchange is a mile away, if that has any relevance?

Probably average I suppose if you're in a densely populated area. If the wiring is new into the flat you could consider upgrading to TalkTalk Fibre Optic broadband. I don't know what it's like however if you live in an area that can get it it would be alot faster and, last I heard, not that much more expensive than regular TT broadband but i'd look into it and check if I were you.
