_NEWLY UPDATED 28 APRIL 2009_
_ROAR 2009_

4th to 6th September 2009, Staverton Park, Daventry, Northamptonshire

The key objective of this year’s event is to have FUN whilst raising money for charity.

How we intend to achieve this is by inviting TVR owners to enter a team with the prime objective of winning the ‘Roar Challenge‘. The challenge will take place on the Saturday only.

We intend to run three types of challenges - agility, skill and team - with a total of nine events over the weekend. The aim being that teams enter the challenges with the objective of scoring the most points. The winning team with the most points will take the pot of money raised for their chosen charity.

We intend to raise the money by teams bringing an entry donation (each team will be required to donate money to the pot), in addition to this exhibitors entry and a charity auction will all go into the pot!

There will be a number of TVR owners who are connected in some way to a charity that has a need, and it is you that we want to come forward so that we can support you and your charity.

How to Enter

The deadline is 30th July 2009 to enter. Each team that enters must have at least one person available to enter into each of the challenges with a maximum of two people per challenge from each team.

If you would like to enter a team and do not know anyone else or have enough people, then please make contact with us (details below) and we will help put one together.

It is vital that each team put themselves forward and nominate a chosen charity by 30th July. We will require the full contact details of the charity so that in the event the team wins, we can contact the charity at the end of the weekend and arrange for the winning team to deliver the winning funds and arrange a photo opportunity.

The ROAR Challenge 2009

The Roar Challenge 2009 will consist of a number of disciplines based on skill, agility and team (please see list below) for which a maximum of 10 points per task will be awarded.

Bonus points will be presented to teams as follows:

For the one team that raises the most donation money (10 points)
For the team who has the most outrageous team mascot (please keep this clean as this will be a family event) (5 points)
For the team that enters wearing team colours (10 points)
Each challenge will take place over the Saturday and will consist of the following:

1. Agility Challenge

Wheel change
Driver change
Car push sprint

2. Skill Challenge

Driver simulator
The puzzle
Golf driving range

3. Team Challenge

Treasure hunt
General knowledge quiz
Tug of war

The day’s event will culminate in a Gala Dinner, Disco and Charity Auction in the evening where the winning team will be awarded the ‘Roar 2009 Award‘.

The ROAR Event

This year we will have a lots more to do and see with the Chimaera Owners and the exhibitors as well as The Roar Challenge. Any TVR owner or enthusiasts are welcome.

This will be a great opportunity to come along and talk to fellow TVR enthusiasts whilst supporting teams generating money for a worthy cause.

Is this a purely TVR event, or will others (ie me in my 7) be able to turn up, park and have a wander round etc? biggrin

Excellent. I had assumed as much, but thought it best to ask!

Angus do you have a road run sorted yet?

The hotel sits on a 'bikers triangle' which is ideal for a suggested route for an hours drive.

We are lucky around here apart from PH Warks & West Mids, I can stick my nose into Northants, Derbyshire and Leicestershire.

I was meaning to get to one of your pub meets last year too.
