Hi Forum Newbie

Just a quick note for information regarding the Herts & Beds forum.
Meeting dates and venue etc!

Have been looking on TVRCC forum, but no latest updates etc.

Some H&B members may remember me from the Knebworth Classic Car Show
I was there on the Sunday in a Blue Griffith!!

Thanks

Hi Vincent,
H&B meet on the third Sunday of every month at the Tudor Oaks motel, which is on the northbound A1 about half way between Baldock and Biggleswade at a place called Astwick (just outside Stotfold).
We sometimes have some nice sedate run-ins whistle from Hertford, which can take a couple of hours because we drive so slowly hehe.
The Regional Organiser is Nell Mal Gywnne (Grumpy Bear on here) and his second in command/events organiser is John Alty.
Hope to see you at a meet soon.
Cheers,
Mick thumbup

I think it is time we did another BIG run-in dont you? It may be the last one before many folk hibernate their cars for the winter. Anyone up for leading? I could if no-one else wants to. But i may be in my TVR eating Audi-engined Lotus hehe Driving it like a poof until i get used to it. Just trying to decide which one to buy at moment. If it's wet i will bring the safe option...The TVR smokin

We aim to be at the Tudor oaks for 11:30am onwards IIRC

A few of us arrange run-ins from the Hertford area leaving anywhere between 8:30 and 10 depending upon the route etc. This is advertised on this forum nearer the time. The region is quite large and there is no official 'run-in' so if anyone wants to organise something from somewhere else in the region then just post up. Many come from the Beds area and dont usually tag along with the Hertford run-in...

Don't really know why that would be Vincent, unless you're using semi-colons instead of colons. Try putting one in a post and I'll have a look under 'quote' if you like.
Cheers,
Mick

You're right I am getting withdrawal symptoms. I would love to lead another run but unfortunatly I am out of the country on business. Maybe in November.

By the way I just re insured with MSM <msm@msinsurance.co.uk> great quote. Keep it on the road in winter.

Chas.

Well, We have a new toy! But pick it up the day before the run-in so will come in the TVR wink

New toy which is much quicker than the 500 chim!!

There are still places on the Brands trackday on 2nd Nov if anyone else wants to come!! It is an easy circuit to get to grips with and is such a great day in the car! Link here

hehe

There are a few pictures on my profile. Its an Audi TT BAM 1.8T 20V Turbo engine converted Lotus Elise S1. The car needs work. The Gaz suspension is shockingly bad so will be upgrading to Nitron. The brakes are crap so upgrading them. Going to sound deaden and carpet the interior as well as fit the same style lotus seats i have in the TVR which are comfortable. The car was bought for me and lisa to share on trackdays smile Spec wise - 0-60 in 3.6s 0-100 prob 8.5s. Just got to learn how to deal with no servo assisted brakes and a very snappy rear end! Will prob take the TVR to the track day to finish off the 888's before i fit T1R's for the winter.

Rumor has it that Pyney still wants a Lotus too! Another traitor wink dont think we will get big numbers, but 10 would be nice. Still quite a few people with cars off the road. I will send a group email to get this thread some attention!

I've removed the negatives so you can focus better hehe
That's going to be one great toy - you're probably going to have to rev the arse off it though - no more lazy driving for you then biglaugh.
