Ahh we did wonder...we ended up going past twice (Green V8S) due to satnav having issues telling us to turn around.

Hope the Tuscan is back on the road soon

ChrisnChris - so sorry to hear - I saw you pulled over, but too late to stop as I was being swept along.

It was good to see you both again though! Hope you were recovered quickly!

Dave500 - also sorry to hear of your clutch. Tim was with me and so I was there when he got the call from Chris. By all accounts, it seems like the AA and the lowloader arrived pretty quickly. Hope you didn't get soaked into the bargain!

My "list" of failures for today are:

1a) Temperature gauge is *FAR* more p*ss*d that originally thought - was buried in the red at one point when my jury rigged thermocouple thermometer taking the top hose temperature was showing 83 degrees. rolleyes

1b) Temperature gauge is *FAR* more p*ss*d that originally thought - was showing around 95 degrees at one point when my jury rigged thermocouple thermometer taking the top hose temperature was showing 108 degrees. eek

2) OSF caliper binding while round town - ended up with smoke coming off the hub at one point! (Have all the bits to replace calipers/pads/discs awaiting fitting.)

3) Wiper motor seems to have burned out - was untouchably hot when we arrived at the Ace. Drove back from Ace Cafe to Salisbury in the p*ss*ng rain with no wipers! (Thank God for Rain-X)

4) No indicators - I tried swapping round the two small relays in the footwell to see if that was the problem with the wipers but in doing so I obviously disturbed the indicators too. :-(

Oh well - it was bloody good fun so worth it and the looks I had from people whilst ploughing through the rain on the M3 with no wipers were definitely priceless! hehe

ChrisnChris,

Sorry about the clutch, you both looked pretty sad to miss out on that great breakfast!

One very small consolation is that, thanks to your kind passing on of the map and instructions, we made it to the Ace and stuffed our faces. Not much comfort I know.

GPS power failure was the only victim of the day for us!

Thanks greatly for the maps!

Graham 'n Tom.

Chris/Chris,
We saw it on the back of a low loader going over the bridge at Kew. We'd been the rugby and stayed overnight at Richmond so were on our way back oop north.
Glad it was only the clutch.

We should run a list of broken parts I also burned my clutch out new one delivered today and ripped my engine mounts apart they were new this year, so the spanners will be out at the weekend. This just goes to show what a good run i had and i would to it all again and again makes you feel alivedrivingsmokinsmokin

Thought it was about time I joined (had to go for a german sounding name to go with the pork!) as I needed to say what a fantastic day it was biggrin, and a big thanks to my pilot. Graeme you may convince me yet about the TVR ownership! scratchchin

March him over my way Jock. We'll give him a dose of Speed Six, followed by a spot of SC power... that should do the trick biggrin
