The 2010 Chatsworth TVR Gathering is on, which will make this the 5th Gathering.
The date for this years gathering is Sunday April 24th-25th. This year on the Sunday I have again negotiated the area in front of Chatsworth House as it was in 2009 where 676 TVRs turned up from as far as the Channel Islands and Northern Ireland.
As was last year, we have our own dedicated TVR entrance and parking area, parking will be from no earlier than 9.30am and the cost will be £5 per TVR for the on the gate tickets (please try to have exact money to cut down waiting time) there will be no advanced tickets or bookings. Optional tours of the House and gardens will be at a discounted price of £7.25 per person with up to 3 guest on the production of a current TVRCC membership card on the Saturday and Sunday. Chatsworth would also like to offer a discount in their Retail outlets for TVRCC attendees on the 25th April. The discount is 10% when spending £25 or more in the Orangery Shop, Carriage House Shop, Garden Shop and Interiors Shop (all House/Stable yard based) and the Farm Shop (at Pilsley, 1.5 miles away). As you know, the Farm Shop in particular is well worth a visit. The discount will be granted on production of a TVRCC membership card on purchases over £25 and on the 25th April only.
Everyone is welcome whether a member of the TVRCC or a Pistonheader, none TVR cars are to park in the public car park approx 100yds from the TVR only parking area, everyone is welcome to bring a picnic in this area but Chatsworth rules denote NO BBQ’s or Gazebo’s and dogs are to be kept on leads at all times and NO Trailers will be allowed.
Chatsworth have shops that sell food, and their pasties and ice creams are now legendary, there should also be both a small food and drinks caddie on site, Toilets are very near by too.
The Chatsworth web site is www.chatsworth.org where info on the house and surroundings can found and places where to stop over night if required and also how to get there and what there is to do for all the family.
There is now a dedicated Chatsworth Gathering web site, http://chatsworthtvr.co.uk/ thanks to Tony Cottrell
For any other information just contact me, Kev Dunnington at ro@tvrcc-south-yorks.co.uk

Please keep speeds down in the Chatsworth grounds and watch out for the sheep (they are a bit daft) the Deer are a lot more sensible.

On the Saturday there will be a choice of things to do. As last year there will be a run around Derbyshire organised by Tony Cottrell which will start off from the Carlton Lees cark park at Chatsworth (Next to the garden centre) there will also be a Rolling road shootout at Raceproved in Sheffield. They will be running the open day from 8.30am - 12.15pm with 45 min’s for lunch and re-starting at 1pm till 4.45pm.
This will consist of 10 sessions at a discounted rate of £35 inc VAT per session.
Places must be reserved by contacting the main reception at Raceproved on 0114 2692027. Please feel free to pop in at any time as all TVR owners, friends and family are welcome to come and enjoy the day. www.raceproved.com
Refreshments will be provided during the course of the day.

Also I have arranged for discounted tours of Chatsworth House and Gardens on the Saturday as well as the Sunday, this will allow people who which to see more of Chatsworth time to see around the place without having to rush to get back to be around the TVRs as if they were to take on the tour on the Sunday. People would have to park in the public car park but it is safe and fairly TVR friendly too. I made a short Youtube picture video of the House and Gardens to give you a taste of what is on offer at Chatsworth here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O3Zb6Le3eGw

Now on PH calendar http://www.pistonheads.com/calendar/event.asp?i=20...

All persons and cars attending this event do so at their own risk and the organiser accepts no responsibility for any damage to any cars or persons attending the event.

At this time of year, when the TVR has been tucked up in the garage for far too long, this is just the kind of news to cheer you up. It may be over 3 months away but I can hardly wait!

Sadly, no chance of it being ready by then. I'm thinking their might be something to put on show at the BNG in September but it won't be any where near finished then either. Engine alone is going to take many months.

Certainly be there, up for a SE convoy and a pie & guiness come evening time should anyone else be interested, and of course a run out, nothing like looking at 600 odd TVRs to make you want to go for a drive!

Can't we suspend the no trailer rule for one person just so we can see a lot of Speed12 bits on a trailer perhaps? I'd buy the owner a pint...

Great work again Kev - can't wait!! This will be the third I've attended, and given the almost exponential rise in numbers of TVRs attending year on year - lets hope that this year is another record breaking attendance!

This is a fine "opener" for the TVR social calender - and what a way to start 2010 TVR-ing!

And I'm now booked into the dyno at Raceproved at 9:15am Saturday!!!! If anyone is interested in meeting at RaceProved on the Saturday morning - I should be leaving there at approx 10 - 10:30am and heading up to Chatsworth for the Sturday run - so if there is anyone likely to be coming up / down the M1 to get to Chatsworth on the Saturday, we could meet at RaceProved (it's 2 mins from J33 M1) and travel up to Chatsworth together (it's approx 30 minute drive from RaceProved)

What another good start to the Tiv year this should be so well done Kevin yet again - one problem though - the queue for the pasties was very slow last year - any chance of them sorting that out Kevin as no doubt there will be plenty of hungry owners looking for them??
