The HSV Forum is having another standing mile event at Woodbridge Airfield in Ipswich on the 28th March.

Untill the end of jan the booking is closed to forum members with LS powered vehicles or invited guests.

However it would be nice to see some TVR`s there so I am providing a link for those who would be interested in booking in Feb.

I would like to try and crack 30 seconds over the mile but im not sure my car will be ready in time.
How do they feel about the use of nitrous oxide?

No prob, Sophie has it on her Astra and will be running.

The emphasis is on speed not time so that hard launches arn`t necessary.

Hard launches are more my thing and ive been wanting a shot at a sub 30 mile.
I think a top speed of around 160 might be achievable in a mile.
Ive just noticed where Woodbridge is! Maybe too far for me, especially this early in the year. Maybe a later date or better still a venue closer to home

There`s a lot that will stay overnight in a hotel locally, and there are people coming from north wales. Tbo its as much a part of the event as the actual day, check out the accomodation thread on the HSV+monaro forum.
You will still get an elapsed time so you can drive off the line as hard as you like, last event I managed a 28sec pass at 193mphsmile

Wow bow
Im used to mixing it with 1000bhp+ cars at York and have sometimes won over the 1/4 by default rolleyes.
Have you had the Monaro on the drag strip? My best is 11.6 @ 125
