Hmmm, this sounds like another famous Kev photo like last year's 'brush' shot
Am I glad you don't do cameras Dave. That brush one did hang around for a while and went around the regions, it was just like one of those adverts on TV that you were not sure what was happening but do remember who's advert it was and now people remember the South-yorks region thanks to a brush and a lady with a camera phone Targarama said:
Great photos guys!
Mark, your car looks awesome as ever. Perhaps you just don't have enough power to get your wheels off the ground?
I think you may be right Trefor I need to get one of them 4ltr + upgrades that everybody seems to be getting, my 3.6ltr is just not up to the task of getting my wheels air borne if I win the lottery I will get Dom to install one of his 4.5 ltr's in my T350t. I was most impressed with his black 4.5ltr Sagaris in my mirrors. Mark, your car looks awesome as ever. Perhaps you just don't have enough power to get your wheels off the ground?
It was a good day Tref until that usual pesky rain showed up my 3 year old R888.s don,t do damp/wet anymore.

just had a look at the photos of the day. What is encouraging is that a large number of cars were ones that (from my memory) first timers either to cadwell of TVR Track days. They could of course be existing attendees with new cars, not sure. What is important is that there are new people wanting to get the most out of their cars on these great days.
I thoroughly enjoyed the day and look forward to more dedicated TVR days.
My only gripe is, the limited track time.
I went out on every session exept the short last one, (because of a c*ck up by the organisers imho), and clocked up about 100 miles.
Typically, on open pitlane format, I usually clock up 160-200 miles.
I understand that you need sessions when there are a lot of cars with keen drivers eager to get out there.
What tends to happen is everyone is eager and goes out on most morning sessions but later, many drop out for various reasons leaving the sessions well depleted.
Just a sugestion, why not have sessions in the morning and open pit in the afternoon.
This open pit format could be adjusted either way depending on circumstances on the day.
Thas way the track time is maximised for the punters and the track gets used for what it's for!
Just my tupence worth .

This is the way it works usually, as the numbers fall then it becomes open pit lane. Has been for the last few years. If you are saying there were still sessions with only small numbers out at any one time then I am surprised. This open pit format could be adjusted either way depending on circumstances on the day.
I have to agree with HCM that some sessions did feel very short and it wasn't always easy to find clear track. After a couple of lap or so of not being given the opportunity to pass, it could take the best part of a lap driving slow (whilst keeping an eye in your mirror for more faster traffic) to then find that after 1/2 a lap of driving hard you catch the train back up, just in time for the session to finish. I did around 120miles on track which is about normal for a track day in my experience, but with an open pit format you have more option to come and go as you please, which I actually found can be more relaxing.
I think one of the best sessiosn of the day was the last, mainly dry track and no traffic and a chance to put i practice all the knowledge form the instructor. The suggestion of staring sessioned and then going open pit after lunch sounds good, the best of both worlds with a chance for novices etc to learn the track and build confidence in the morning.
Having said all that it was a most enjoyable track day, on a great circuit.

I agree with you Edward about the passing of cars.
Don't think I am rubbishing the event, I just think the organisers need a little more input.
As there no doubt was several novices there they should have paid more attention to overtaking. I didn't see one blue flag out all day and therefore very few drivers allowed the faster ones to pass.
