TVRCC Trackday @ Cadwell
Discussion
Great day, thanks to Bernie for oranising a great day.
We got 3 runs in before the rain, then decided to call it a day so as not to spoil it on the wet track.
The M performed flawlessly, ran really well and surprised us in the corners with the amount of grip. Gearbox and cam aren't matched very well though as we kept dropping off the cam and gears were just in the wrong rev range for certain corners,
I'm definatly hooked now.

As always a brilliant well organised day, thanks Bernie.
I will post the photos I managed to take when it was dry soon.
I was gutted when the day ended with the Grantura crunching it, that was a car that everyone I talked to wanted or liked the most and we all felt for the owner, at least he was ok and the car will be repaired.
Thanks to everyone for such a great day.

Yep, superb day, many thanks to organisers and club .
Real shame about the Grantura crash. Car looked imaculate (before) and to add insult to injury i believe the owner was heading to LeMans 24hr.. Tough break but at least no injuries.
Dave.
ps Thanks Dom, Tuscan never missed a beat all day.

Yes, a very good day despite the weather, thanks to all who arranged it, also, good to meet you Sean.
What a fantastic circuit, scenic and technical all in one package.
Even though the track was wet for a lot of the day, I really enjoyed the challange of keeping the car on the black stuff!
200 miles there, just over 100 miles on track and 200 miles back, the only problem all day was a fuse blew on the boot release circuit .
Thanks to the guy who gave me a fuse.
Christian, hope your oil pressure problems aren't to excessive, £££!
I think I will stay in the office today to reduce my carbon footprint !:

Any one know how to get hold of the photo guys?
Their website is down and the email they give does not work?
info@xtremesportsphotography.net/
Any help appreciated.
Excellent day and very well organised, well pleased with the car until one of the rear inner brake pads decided to throw a wobbly

Here are the photo's I took on the day, http://s107.photobucket.com/albums/m317/kevind63/C... if you want full res of your car then just let me know details of your car (colour, reg and which photo's you want) via email and I will send them you when I get time.
Thanks for a great day - really enjoyed it.
Did every session despite the weather - found the challenge of trying to get the elusive "perfect line" and keep the Cerb on the tarmac was a great challenge and thoroughly enjoyable. The perseverence paid off - the track got drier and drier through the afternoon, and the final session of the day was almost dry everywhere except under the trees in the woodland session, and there were only about half a dozen other cars on track! Managed to fly round on a clear track!

Ah I'm very jealous that I didn't get to go to this... I've only driven Cadwell once in the wet but it was bloody peeing it down when I did with standing water across the back straight! Cracking fun trying to stop it sliding around in the twisties though!
Sorry to hear there was a crash though... What happened? Was it over-egging acceleration over the mountain and hitting the barriers or too fast into that first corner into halls bends? Those two seem to be responsible for just about every incident!

The really sad news was the white Grantura (I think) that came off at the old hairpin - the driver was a really nice chap and the car was pristine. It was really slippery under the trees. The only other one I know about was a nudge of the nose of Chim into the armco on the inside of the exit to Hall Bend - too much power when not straight and arround she came.... but the damage was only light and the car went straight back out for all the rest of the afternoon.
Great photo's Kev - thanks for posting them all up so quickly (you either have very fast broadband or you were up all night!)
