Now that was a interesting day.

Hope u get insurance sorted scotty.... I was 3 behind u. On way back through when all cars stopped it was just starting to smoke with that real dark browny green smoke. Fire brigade where quick, they came in as we left tunnel. Someone said they got stuck behind cars though.

Got stoped by 2 police men with AK47's and pistols by there side... Yes sir no sir im a bad boy i thought was the best action to take. Took the rolacking like a naughty boy , wont do it again sir ( I did deserve it)

about 30 min later was followed by cop car for ages along A40, eventually lights and a pull over sign made.
Your cars comming up un insured sir............... No prob with that. explained just changed plates and gave him old reg and he was happy. went to start car and no go... Can u give me a jump please mate...
he did and even gave me a head start so i could catch u all up..

M25 looked at speedo and it said 52mph. accelerated then thought hang on im passing people quicker than normal.. sat nave said 98.. opps.
then radio cut out... batt light and then mil light came on, oh sh... outside lane indicate left engine cutting out then no engine, get to hard shoulder ok though. RAC got me going. alt ok, batt flat so wiring issue somewhere. cerb running well again, no lights on dash, radio working ill go to guidford.
fantastic day there.
Home time flat batt no one to jump from, borrowed jump pack from dyno guys (thanks) got home ok.

Fantastic day, thanks Dave, ready for the next one now........

Hi Boss1UK, I was in the chimaera also stopped by the gun totting police. We did not see you on the M25 until it was too late to stop, looked out for you in the hope you made it all the way. A pity you never got there as it was a good show and took the focus away from the mornings events which were again well organised by Dave. thumbup

Just like to say Thanks to David for organising today's run and day out. Was sorry to see the Griff in flames in the tunnel but glad that the owner was safe.

P.S

David, it was me that put the roof back on your Tuscan. Hope you didn't mind as it was starting to rain.

Thanks again for organising it Dave.

I had a bit of a nightmare this time, i think i did about one tunnel before losing nearly everyone, got flashed by a camera then kerbed an alloy moving on to the pavement for the fire engines.

Scotty, i saw your car as well and like everyone else has said i really feel for you and felt totally gutted for you as we drove passed, main thing is your ok though.

Wow, what a day, lots of mixed emotions!

Thanks, and well done to everyone who turned out at silly o'clock this morning. It is the people who attend that makes these events such great fun. Those who managed to make it over to Dunsfold were met with a huge crowd, hundreds of wonderful cars, and some "enthusiastic" driving around the track.
I was lucky enough to take a ride in a Lambourghini Gallardo Spider which, despite not being a TVR, was "reasonably nimble"... yes, i've been looking at Autotrader already paperbag

As has been mentioned many times above, the day wasn't without it's unwelcome events, most expecially to Scotty. I have spoken with him this afternoon, and given the circumstances he is in remarkably good spirits. Most importantly, he is absolutely fine. He has no access to the internet at the moment, hence his silence, but has asked me to pass on his thanks to all who offered help, he declinied for fear of anyone getting injured, and is grateful that it is only the car that suffered.

Fingers crossed we will see him behind the wheel of another TVR soon.

A massive thank you for this morning, well worth the early start. Was absolutely gutted to see the Griff in flames, glad that no one was hurt but still a horrible thing to see frown.

Was fantastic to see so many TreVoRs in one place, has definitely given me the incentive to hound my dad to get his Chim sorted this summer smile.

All in all a great day, some lovely examples of both TVRs and others at Dunsfold.

By the way i was the odd one out in the Datsun (for those that saw me, lol)

Cheers again

Sorry to hear / see the issues a few people had, hope they're all sorted as easily as possible.

Great day out Blues! clap still recovering from your rear gunner fire, those supercar rides were something else, was expecting a steady tootle round the park, ended up more like an F1 race eek great way of raising money for charity though!

Sorry to hear about the Griff, not as if they can be replaced easily these days cry
