So is the plan that this is a full 2 x day event or is it essentially the same on both days and it's just that you chaps fancy the idea of a few beers on Saturday evening hence the hotel/tent idea?

Hi RichB - the latter smile. The event is two days, but I feel it's the Saturday that is the main day.

The flying for instance is only on the Saturday. If you can only do one day, then Saturday is the day to go for I suggest. There are a couple of bands on in the evening, so it will be a FULL day, so lots of reasons to crash out on site smile. It means the evening can go on longer for a start smile.

bounce

Due to popular demand the advanced ticket sale booking date for the BSG - A British Affair has been extended until 30th July 2010.

Booking forms are available from the Cambs TVR CC website.

Hi Steve wavey

Yes, I did book smile. Loads of people camping, so much so, I am not sure whether there are any pitches left........

If you go here: A booking form can also be downloaded from the Cambs website if that suits....

http://www.tvrcc-cambs.co.uk/

in the top right hand corner, you will see 'buttons' - the booking form includes a tick box for camping. I'd fill that in or if you have already pre-booked an entrance ticket then email Zoe (address on booking form) and request a pitch to be added to your booking.

Hoep you manage to get one. Tell her we'll all squash up tongue out

I am sure there will be more than a few cars there on the Sunday...not least those with owners who had a few beers on the Saturday night and are feeling far too fragile to leave early doors... smile

Hello Deano smile How about getting up bright and early on Sunday morning - roads should be pretty clear - blast up to arrive in time for a full English and take it from there smile. Allezwasps is right - there are over 40 camping pitches occupied, so there will certainly be lots of people around! Further, your entrance ticket gets you into the hangars too, so you will not be bored smile.

See you there! wink

Hi Guys and Girls,

Just sticking my nose in here to let you all know that a Ride Drive team will be present at the Big Southern Gathering and have a route all worked out to provide our free sample driver coaching sessions over both days. If you would like to get your names on the booking list, please Email Ride Drive office with the time and date you want. You can see the time slots that are available from the Ride Drive Events Page. As we receive bookings we will update the list. This will be dealt with on very much a first come, first served basis.

Many thanks

Jules

Just to let everyone know that we are still taking advance bokings for the BSG - A British Affair, but as we don't have enough time now to post out the tickets they will be ready for collection on the day at the gate.

It is still worth pre-booking as you will then get parking in the dedicated TVR area and the evening party music

The camping is now however sold out.

Thanks
Zoe.

As there are now only 4 days way we have stopped taking advanced bookings for this event, don't worry however as you will still be able to purchase tickets on the day from the gate.

We have 155 TVR's pre-booked to attend the event and have 2 of the Tuscan Challenge Race Cars and their drivers in attendance - so we will have a good show.

If you have been following the threads we also will have the full size Bloodhound SSC car for you to peruse, along with plenty of other activities to keep you entertained until the flying display starts.

As well as the 19 trade stands, there is a TVR trivia quiz to test your knowledge on all aspects of the cars, from the early days and there is even a picture round for you to test your knowledge of those small intimate parts of the cars.

We will also be holding an auction to raise funds to support the Bloodhound SSC project and our choosen Charity, which will be be announced on the day. A full list of items to be auctioned will be available shortly.

2 Run outs (a Northern and a Southern) have also been devised for the Sunday, but if you are not planning to stay for the whole weekend and fancy a blast around the Cambs and Herts/Beds roads these will be available for you to do on the Saturday.

All information, quiz papers, run outs and auction information can be obtained from the TVR reception tent on the day.

I hope you all have a safe journey to the event and look forward to meeting you all there!

Bye for now
Zoe.
smile
