As I watch the rain pouring outside, I realise it is time to check the weather forecast for the weekend.

It looks great! smile In fact some scattered cloud will make sure we don't get burnt and also, it's not so glaring as you gaze skyward and watch the stunning aeroplanes cool

smile

If you go to the TVR Car Club website and in the regions section find Cambrideshire, call or email Zoe and ask very nicely and I'm sure she will do what she can to get you sorted.

There is also a link on page one of this thread.

Have just spoken to Gary from the rolling road and he said
there's a (small) trophy for the car that makes most power.
He's also trying to get a couple of cars with big yank V8's
to 'warm up' the rollers, sounds (literally) great.

Just to let you know the bookings window for the Hurricane photo shoot is now closed. There are two places still available one of them due to a cancellation (commiserations Chas!)

frown

Having set up to do 40 I think we still should, so those two places will be available on Saturday morning on a first come first served basis. The gate marshals will have two photo shoot passes to sell at £10 each. To make it fair any other contact with regard to these places will I’m afraid be ignored.

Thanks to all those that have booked.

Thinking about rocking up Saturday morning and staying for 4 or 5 hours as we have plans for Saturday night! Can we pay on the gate? and would it be 25 pounds each?
Cheers smile

wavey Would be fab to see you and Alison smile It's my neck of the woods this one. Make sure you find me - could be more difficult than it sounds, I could be hiding in a canvas gazebo for much of the day - I guess you'll hear me even if you can't see me though tongue out.

laugh Funny you should say that, just finished making a Lemon Drizzle cake. Now scooting over to Old Warden to erect my (incredibly heavy!) canvas gazebo smile.

Looking forward to catching up! Enjoy your run in tongue out

A British affair includes very British summer weather of course. It's hurling down in Oxfordshire.

Prospects for tomorrow...more of the same!! But we'll still enjoy ourselves!

The weather cant be helped and should never spoil the procedings, but are the cars to be parked on grass/feild etc etc. If so it could end up being like a show i took the Sag to at Duxford this year and its took me 2 days to properly clean the underside on a ramp of mud as they made all show cars enter Duxford accros a muddy feildrolleyesmadfurious and dont wanna sound like the marter but dont really wanna do the same again to be fair. Im gagging to go and been looking forward to it so much, getting real excited now! But just dont wanna end up rally drivin the Sagaris tom thats all and she is a really my utter pride and joy!

Cheers and sorry to sound negative.getmecoat

Come on extremekiter, if it does get dirty it will just look even better when you clean it again.
All parking at Shuttleworth is on grass but as it is used all the time it tends to be fairly solid so should be OK.

Been there all day today setting up. The grass parking is VERY firm with a good covering a grass, the roadways in are a made up not hard ashpalt but a good solid mixture without obvious pot holes. I've been to Duxford and the route in via those ticket booths is very worn grass/mud. Nothing like it at Shuttleworth.

The only bit that could get cut up is the grass as the cars enter the parking area but if everyone is sensible and avoids showing off with daft wheelspins it really shouldnt be a problem.

Hi Mal. Just checking my old banger out for trip down tonight and find oil cooler is split. Sadly unless I can find anyone with a spare tonight (and I am trying) I am going to have to cancel my visit tomorrow. I hope this hasn,t caused you too much trouble, I was a TVRCC for 20 years so I know how last minute no shows can be a pain. If you can find anyone to make up the numbers for the photoshoot please do so and if I manage to get down and place taken my tough luck. So dissapointed, was really looking forward to this event, dont you love TVR,s but I suppose its lucky it didn,t do it at Classic Le Mans. Have a good weekend and who knows we may still make it. sTeVeR
