Friday 3rd September:

Tonight is the switch on of the world famous “Blackpool Illuminations”. Due to the large crowds expected and the associated traffic jams, we’re intending to have a late-night run through the lights ending with a Fish’n’Chip supper. Keep a look out for details both in Sprint and on the TVRCC website.

Saturday 4th September:

A full programme of events including:

Visits to TVR’s old Bristol Avenue site to visit the TVR centric businesses now operating there.(Free but ticket required)

Three led runs out through Trough of Bowland. (Free)

‘Crazy Horses’ rolling road (£45 per run, include donation to the event charity, Cancer Research)

Loudest car competition

The BNG ‘Pit Stop Challenge’

TVR Auto Jumble

Static displays including a full-size replica of the ‘Bloodhound SSC’ 1000 mph supersonic Land Speed Record attempt car
Also TVR Time Line, race/rally cars and buggies.

Sunday 5th September

Fully sanctioned MSA 1/4 mile timed Sprint on the lower promanade.

Depending on the number of entries we're hoping to give everyone at least 2 practice runs and three timed runs. Timing will show elapsed time and terminal speed.

Also every entry will receive a limited edition 'Ned the Dog' T shirt....



So here's your chance to show your car's performance off to a wider audience in a safe environment and lay some rubber down in your car's hometown.

Brief requirements are:

Licence Required
The minimum requirement is a valid 2010 MSA/MSI Non-Race National ‘B’ licence. These can be obtained from the MSA website www.msauk.org This licence doesn't require an ARDS testand just requires you to fill in a form (can be done online) and doesn't require a medical.


Crash Helmets
Helmets to be to the standards listed below and will be checked at scrutineering -
FIA8860-2004, SNELL SA2005, SNELL SA2000, SFI Foundation 31.1a or 31.2, BS6658 Type A/FR, Note BS66581985 Type A is no longer approved

Overalls
Overalls to the standards listed below are acceptable and will be checked at scrutineering. They must be flame resistant and manufactured in either Nomex III or Proban or equivalent materials. It is advisory,but not mandatory, that flame resistant socks, gloves, balaclavas and underwear is worn. Plastic shoes i.e. trainers should be avoided.

BS6249 Pt 1/A or B Index (but not C), BSEN533 or EN533: 1995 Index 3, FIA 8856-2000, FIA1986 Std

Noise
Vehicles will be tested in accordance with MSA Yearbook 2010 Section (J) Chart 5.18 which states:-
Racing and sports libre cars not to exceed 110db at 45° from exhaust at a distance of 0.5m and at 2/3 of maximum RPM. All other vehicles not to exceed 108db when tested as above.

Nitrous Fuelled Cars
Any person wanting to run a nitrous fuelled car will have to apply to the MSA for written permission and if granted the letter of authorisation must be produced at sign on and scrutineering.
