Loved the old boy but, how much longer is he going to be 'about' to put on the shows?

Loved the rocking-horse too - shame there wasn't any st to go with it as would have been priceless. biggrin

Surly in the 25 years of owning the gun he could have sorted out the providence (sp)
My thoughts too. Provenance is everything when dealing such collectibles and the chap, being a collector, should know this.
Suggests there isn't any!
I had to pop out for 10 minutes at this stage. What was he offered?

Just finished watching on +1.

Yep,dream on !

50K for something his father "acquired" for nothing probably, unbelievable greed.

Dropped to 24 then 20 quite suddenly though.

Though $38K for a similar item makes you think.

Should've taken the 18 for that seeing as he was too lazy to get Sothebys to check provenance.

Especially as he admitted to paying 5 for it albeit sometime ago.

Didn't like the chess board. Liking the idea behind this record but its a bit pricey.

I'd imagine it would be fairly easy to scale-up a print but, an actual painting, that's something else...

the weird Dutch pair with the dress...

he reminded me of a character from the league of gentlemen - very weird.

they lived in their own world.

Is this becoming a bit crap now. There used to be several items per-show that would sell for thousands if not tens-of-thousands. Now it just seems to be a few hundred to about £2k.

Is Anita Rani on ?
I loved her when she was glammed up for this show. She's gone a bit dowdy since they put her on Countryfile
