Yes it does, if he doesn't have serious injuries then what happens? He and Arya just ride around for fun? Or she runs off and he just goes, 'oh OK then, I'll just leave it'. biggrintongue out

It's fairly strongly that he is still alive and lives with the monks on an island

we know the 'plan' for Arya, he is left dying, but we don't know he actually does...

We know Catelyn dies... But there's a whole other book with the lives of 1/2 the characters yet to come

Indeed, and so something needs to happen to the Hound for Arya to be able to leave. I don't think this is the only scene with Hound and Arya in it this series.

Well Amazon is offering the entire song of ice and fire set on kindle for £7.99! its £45 in waterstones for the paperbacks so I may as well get them.

Question is can I read the entire series on kindle without going mad...its good but I prefer dead tree to at least gauge how far you are through it at a glance without getting demoralised hehe

and yes I know EVERYONE DIES!

The kindle tells you the % you have read. Or at least mine does

wink
So, it makes me think...there needs to be another confrontation along the way...but with whom?!
At the gate to the Vale? My money would be one a confrontation with Rorge, the first ep sets it up nicely, it sort of jumbles the book story up nicely, and it would fit in with Rorge assuming the mantle of The Hound!

The only problem being Rorge was played by Andy Beckwith and as far as I can tell he isnt in S4. It looks like he was filming Ironclad 2 when they were filming GoT4. Of course they could have re cast Rorge, used a different character to take "Rorge" role or even fitted filming around the 2. I guess we will have to wait and see! Its quite nice not knowing what will happen

I know yeah. The way the programme can jumble the story and it still fits in with the book story is brilliant, it offers up real treats and surprises.
Makes it look so easy, and you wonder how other things can get it so wrong.

But them getting to the Vale isn't in the plot wink

Brienne is told that the Elder Brother buried him after the Polliver injury & Rorge the made off with the helm, but we haven't seen the helm...

I dunno, I just know I cried when Arya left him & again when Brienne was told he was dead, I'm hoping for a way for it not to be so as he is one of the best characters in the books!

Them heading that way is though. tongue out They turn around in the book. He hasn't worn it in the show since, and I haven't spotted it on his horse, but I reckon he wouldn't leave it, he's a fighter by trade and you don't leave expensive armour lying around. I don't know whether he'll die or not, but I am looking forwards to whatever happens to make them split up. biggrin

Ahh but does she? I reckon their relationship dynamic started changing way back.

You've read what she says when she leaves him to die alone, in pain, slowly?

I forget. The book is more complicated than one line. I reckon in the show you can see that they are not that antagonistic towards each other.

You see it in the books, it doesn't stop her wink

Maybe it's just who she is now, turned from the innocent child to a pre-teen that will pick up a blade & put it coldly through someone's stomach?

I wouldn't be surprised to see some hesitation or gratitude or something from Arya to the Hound.
She's on the way to being a terminator, not quite there yet. biggrin
