Ah yes...it would have been helpful if they had alluded to it at some point but rings bells now.

Just me that thinks Gregor Clegane will be Ser Robert Strong after the maester has experimented on him?
Didn't say who Ser Robert was in the books but the description suits The Mountain.

Or maybe he's that other eight foot tall corpse that Qyburn was experimenting on...

Even Kevan Lannister and Mace Tyrrel think that Gregor Clegane is Ser Robert Strong.

Why did Varys get onto the boat? I don't remember that from the books.
He doesnt as such/no-one knows where he is once Tyrion escapes though he pops back up in KL later on as an assassin.
I thought that bit was excellent.
Varys of course can come and go as he please, he is a mummer. Illario turned up in KL and no-one knew anything.
The shows makes evident what in the books, can only be guessed at. It's possible that Varys travelled between the free city and KL a lot in those books. He'll need to chat to Illario about Ageon...if that plot is included.

I've not seen a breakdown for anything to do with that plotline.

No, but then it's hardly mentioned until Tyrion gets away wink

But they are casting now, and the next two series are being filmed back to back. wink

I'm not finding any casting news other than Myrcella & one of the Sands & the Bodyguard

I've read that there are also casting calls out for a young Cersei and for Maggy the Frog, so there's presumably going to be a flashback sequence to a certain incident in Cersei's childhood....

So far that lot are who are in, along with a new Myrcella, Styrmyr, Maggy and a young Cersei.

Waif, but no Kindly Man?

They're keeping a lot back I think!

I reckon they tried to cast the harder bits first, the darker skinned ones.
The UK is replete with whiteys, the North, the Iron-Born, the Kindly man etc....at least I hope that's it...

They might already have someone lined up?

It's possible, but I think unlikely.
I spoke with the casting director a month before the casting started, and I have seen the breakdowns start.
If they simply offered the part to someone...this is possible, but it's a risk not to have back-up via the standard casting process. Doran is the new big player, and he went out to actors.

Oh

Well, that's one hell of a future book spoiler frown

This is what I've been worried about all along, that the TV ruins the books for the readers frown

Not entirely surprised.

Allot needs to be cut out of AFFC/ADWD and reasonable that this should be one of those plot elements.
