She doesn't in that book wink

Therefore that can be covered in a later Season, or just 'discussed in situ'

Surely they aren't going to go through that whole bullst about running the city? It's so dull!

Agreed, I'd find the kings moot far more entertaining, but it seems it's not key!

Did anyone else see the article that the Iron Islands sub plot and Kings Moot has not been included in Season 5?
I thought the whole point of it was the send the fleet of shops out to Dany? How is Dany going to get back now without the Iron Islamds fleet?
In series four Dario captures the same amount of ships for Dany, that Victarion set out with. People thought that foreshadowed, Uncle Vic being cut.

I know that no new Ironborn have been cast.

It is rather dull but looks like it will only be for one season and they might be spicing it up by bring Jorah and Tyrion into contact with her towards the end.

Looks like Winds of Winter (the next book) will not be out this year (according to GRRM's publishers)...

@bonefish914 It's not in our 2015 publishing schedule as it stands - I know no more than that at the moment.
The books hat GRRM wrote quickly ( Game of Thrones, Clash of Kings, Storm of Swords) were pretty good.

I hope when it is eventually published that it will be a lot better than the last 2 efforts, but I am not going to hold my breath....

Since the writing pace has slowed the books have got a lot duller. AFFC being particularly bad. Is GRRM bored of his story?

Thought this was pretty good that I read the other day (not sure if it is best here or on the TV thread)

Good to hear that, however I wish he would do a little more GoT writing and a little less everything else wink

Have the same problem with Patrick Rothfus, looks like the final Name Of The Wind book won't be out this year either frown

To be honest I'm not that concerned. The books are developing into a huge mess. It's kind of the same with Lucas losing Star Wars.

Bran and Sansa's stories are going to be the main ones.

I have a feeling Tyrion will meet Dany fairly soon to keep it interesting.

Apparently there's something really shocking that happens this season that's not in the books. I'm thinking something with Sansa. I also heard that Bran is left out of this season.

That would make sense.

Well, we've already seen Sansa, so that's more than we've had in the books

Ah good someone found the book thread, I searched but couldn't find it and wanted to ask...

So in the TV show, it is fairly unambiguous that Mance has been burned at the stake wherease in the books we know that it wasn't him, I assume this means that we won't get the whole 'fake' Arya marriage thread from the books with Jon asking Mance to go and save her. This would also mean that we probably wont get the Manderleys (sp?) too so it is getting easier to see which bits of the book they are skipping for time/simplicity.

I'm guessing that this seasons cliff hangers will be Dany being picked up by Drogon and Jon getting stabbed in the back which brings us pretty much level with the end of the last book.

But we saw him having a proper Mance like conversation with Stannis and then taken directly to the platform, no opportunity for a swap unlike the book where he was in some sort of wicker cage. I suspect this was a bit of the book plot that they considered to be unimportant and therefore easy to leave out, shame really as I liked the Mance character/actor.

I wonder if Jon will send Sam and Gilly off to the university ?
