The script is being written by Michael Green this time round; whose previous works include a fair amount of superhero TV series and Green Lantern. Make of that what you will...

On the plus side, Fassbender and Noomi Rapace are signed up to return which implies we are getting a continuation to the first film. Maybe we'll get some of those unanswered questions tied up.

You mean questions like "WTF??", "Why would anyone DO that???", "But... wait... why... who... huh?" and "Why do these 'scientists' have no concept of the Scientific Method?". smile

Prometheus made enough money to warrant a sequel? Really? REALLY? Jesus christ!
$403,000,000 worldwide according to Box Office Mojo

TBH, that's actually not that great a return if you think about it, Avatar for example made almost $3,000,000,000. I can only assume word of mouth affected ticket sales.

Even bad films make money, Mark Kermode wrote about it in a book (can't remember the title). Cleopatra eventually broke even in the 80's, Waterworld broke even after a year or two.
Slightly OT - A mate of the Wife's is a Bollywood director - the 'Producers' are usually extremely happy if the films break even - Bollywood is run by the Bombay Mafia and it's their number one way of cleaning money.

Someone needs to ban you from this thread for your own good. You're a like a post-op labrador who just can't help but keep licking at where his testicles used to be. It would be a kindness - like a virtual vet's lampshade doohicky that dogs wear around their neck after an operation.

Yes, weve had many pages of people saying the same thing over and over. Just gets tedious

You keep repeating yourself. I suppose that's not tedious?

Perhaps if you accept the points that are being made which frankly cannot be argued against the conversation could move on?

Prometheus was sh*t

Prometheus was sh*t

Prometheus was sh*t

Prometheus was sh*t

You get the idea wink

I am ever the optimist but unless they manage to perform a miracle, I have very little hope in them retrieving anything from the mess that was Prometheus.
